I was charged with possession of marijuana (first time offense) last year. My goal was to avoid the 251 program and to hopefully get the charge dropped. There was video evidence which didn’t really work in my favor but I still had high hopes because I was wrongly accused. The final outcome was accepting a plea bargain for possession of paraphernalia. It was the best deal possible at the time considering that the prosecutors and officer were obstinate and difficult to work with. Luck was not on my side. Overall, I was not happy with the result because this amendment didn’t allow for expungement. I did not want this charge on my record as it could affect future employment. I was devastated and thought that this was it. I made a couple of phone calls and ended up speaking with Carlos who gave me detailed instructions on how to appeal my case. After appealing my case, I contacted countless lawyers based on reviews and experience to handle my case. Keep in mind that not all lawyers handle appeal cases and if they do, they are expensive. I had Carlos in mind but I wanted to do my homework before making a decision. With this appeal case, I only had one shot so I had to pick very wisely. I even met with the “best” (according to AVVO) but they were ridiculously priced. With only one week away from my motions hearing date I finally met with Carlos - the man who originally gave me guidance on how to appeal my case. He was accommodating and kind enough to meet with me right before office closing time because I was coming from a town 2 hours away. The office is conveniently located by the courthouse with ample parking space. The secretary is very nice and very quick with emails. Carlos is laid back, honest, self-assured and very knowledgeable. He thoroughly reviewed the video clip with me and took detailed notes. I had a good feeling about this man. He recommended that we go for a bench trial and assured that he would do the best he can to help me. His price was also very reasonable considering what other lawyers were charging for appeal cases. I really wanted this charge to be dropped/dismissed (seemed near impossible based on the impression I got from other lawyers) and made so that it could be expunged from my record.
Guess what? This man made it happen.
We went to circuit court two times. First time was to set a trial date which took 5 minutes in the courtroom. A week before the trial date, he called me and told me that my case was dismissed (Nolle prosequi)! I couldn’t believe it! I don’t know what kind of magic he performed but he made my wish come true. On the day of the trial, we were in and out of the courtroom in a matter of 10 minutes. The circuit court was like second nature to him. This man knows his stuff and I highly recommend him. I hired him again to expunge the dismissed charge for me. Thank you Carlos for getting me the best possible outcome and making this a fast and painless experience for me!
Note: My advice to people here is to not overlook lawyers that don’t have a lot of reviews. What matters is quality over quantity. Meet with them and give them a chance.

I was charged with three criminal offenses that could of landed me in jail for a while, and a subsequent traffic offense related to the first three. My charges were possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession with intent to distribute meth amphetamine, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. I first met Mr.Wall while incarcerated at Fairfax County Jail. I was taken back by his young appearance and age but even more so in his knowledge of the legal system and his credentials. It was clear to me really quickly that when it came to defense attorneys(ive dealt with quite a few in the past) he was the cream of the crop. My legal battle lasted for over a year and I've been to court over the same charges over 5-6 times. The first time we went to court it was regarding the contribution charge. I was more then pleased when Mr.Wall managed to get the charge dismissed the first time we went in. The other two weren't so easy but throughout the whole ordeal he kept reassuring me that he would get me the best outcome and that everything would be ok in the end. I will admit i was very skeptical because i felt the prosecution had more then enough to go on to convict me. To make a long story short, after numerous trips to the court and back, i was given a plea deal for possession of paraphernalia and one of the charges dropped, along with the traffic infraction as well. I couldn't believe it because that deal carried no jail time, probation time, or loss of license but a simple $250 fine. He fought hard for me from the beginning and his constant reassurances put my mind at ease every time we were in court. Its safe to say Mr.Wall saved my life. I would highly recommend him to anyone at all, no matter what charges they are facing. Thank you sir for you hard work and dedication to getting me the best deal possible.

I would definitely recommend Carlos Wall and the Gordon Law Firm if you have to go to the Fairfax Traffic court. I was pulled over in November of 2015 for driving 65 m/h in a 45 m/h zone. The cop who pulled me over told me that she was going to charge me for only speeding (not for reckless driving). She told me that I would not need a lawyer and I’d better off just to pay the fine. I was not sure if this was a good idea because I still would get 6 points. Based on the reviews of the local lawyers available at the Avvo.com, I contacted Carlos Wall from the Gordon Law Firm. I discussed my situation with Carlos Wall, who was honest with and told me that I didn't need to retain a lawyer for the traffic ticket I was issued. He instructed me on how I should explain my situation to the judge. I told me him that I would feel more comfortable if a lawyer would represent me in the court. Carlos agreed to take care of my case. Thank to Carlos the Fairfax County General District Court amended the charge of speeding – 65/45, a 6 point infraction, to failure to pay full time and attention, a 0 point infraction, and imposed a $75.00 fine!

If you have ever been pulled over for a DUI/DWI do yourself a favor and at least get a consultation from the Gordon Law Firm. I was pulled over in Feb for blowing almost double the legal limit and I had hit my car into a barrier. I honestly thought I had zero chance of ever even getting a reduced suspension. I spoke with Carlos and his partner Alex Gordon about my situation and they were very diligent in providing me answers to the questions I had and walked me through the process. They were honest and told me that while they could not guarantee anything, they will take on my case. After a couple of appearances where they re-scheduled the court date my day finally came. I met Carlos at the courthouse expecting and planning for the worst and was extremely nervous. Carlos let me know what the plea deal was and if I wanted to go to trial. Carlos was confident and determined to get the best outcome for me possible so I decided that we should go to trial and I put my faith in him. This was probably the best decision I have ever made. Carlos was a wizard in that courtroom. He pulled out different facts from previous cases and convinced the judge that there was no possible way to prove I was 100% guilty. I don't want to get into too much detail here, but Carlos was strategic and crafty in getting the responses he needed from the cop who had pulled me over and limiting the sort of questions the prosecutor could ask. Once the judge heard Carlos' argument he had no choice but to dismiss the case and I sat there for a few moments in shock when I heard the verdict. Carlos has mastered the law and I have never witnessed such a fantastic rebuttal to a DUI charge that before this I believed had no chance of being dismissed.
Carlos won't guarantee you anything and it may be tough to get constant updates on your case, but from my experience and outcome I can guarantee that he will take your case seriously. Never get behind the wheel of a car after you have been drinking, but if you find yourself in a situation where you need a DUI lawyer please go and hire the Gordon Law Firm. This is the best move that I have ever made and I finally feel like I have my life back. Thank you, Carlos and Alex!

Hat’s off to Carlos Wall he saved my…life. The advice given today was honest and reassuring. Today had to be one of the worst days of my life. On my way to work I hit a pot hole that ruined my tires and rims. After spending the entire morning getting that resolved and a few hundred dollars later ($625.00), I was finally on my way back to work. While driving back to work I was being paced by an unmarked black mustang, Virginia’s Finest, pulls me over and gives me a traffic ticket.
Fortunately for me I called Carlos Wall. His advice was priceless. His phone consultation was FREE and I waited maybe 1 minute for him to get on the line…and he gave me the best advice I had heard all day. After talking with him, he put me at ease with his understanding of the state laws. His knowledge and experience of dealing with traffic violations, was just what I needed on my side. While I was wrong for speeding, he identified that the officer had indeed made a valuable mistake when writing my ticket, one that panned out in my favor.
Had I not spoken to Carlos, I’d be in more debt, paying much more in fees than I needed to.
From this day forward I will have him on speed dial. I would 100% recommend Carlos Wall to anybody having to go to court to defend a traffic violation. He is a fair and HONEST lawyer that will fight for you to stay out of jail and avoid paying too much.

I got into trouble in Virginia during my 6 months stay there and was charged with DUI. I was very stressed and had no clue what to do. I decided to get a help from a lawyer and happened to call one. He was old and asked 1500 to represent me at the court. I was hopeful and paid him half the amount. Soon after my first appearance at the court he asked me to plea guilty and not to repeat the mistake again. I was so helpless that time. Then my sister did some online research and found Mr. Carlos Wall . I gave him a call and decided to go with him. THAT WAS THE BEST DECISION I MADE HAVING Mr. Wall REPRESENT MY CASE. He was super nice and confident about what he was doing, not only he knew the subject matter but i was super surprised to see him go through my video and analyze each and every move i made during my field test. It took him less than half an hour to dismiss my case and i am off the hook now. I sincerely request all the DUI victim that if you are looking for a lawyer and do not know much about the law, please give him a call and discuss your case. He was bit expensive ( but not too much) compared to my 1st lawyer but the result that i have got saved me from getting convicted. I would have lost 1500 dollar to my first lawyer and lost the case as well if i haven't had Mr Wall represent my case. He is simply awesome not because he won a case for me, but the way he represented me and kept me posted was way too good.

What an awesome law firm. My attorney was Carlos Wall who was professional and understanding. His attorney skills are top flight and is well known at the courthouse. Everything about the firm is personable and knowledgeable. Small details like free parking, coffee, and comfortable office are provided. The paralegal at the desk was incredible and in all ways helpful and we'll organized. We went to court and to be honest it was quick and effective. Attorney Wall had a family emergency so Attorney Kyle did an outstanding job. I highly recommend this firm based on my own experience and many years of working with legal.

I was charged with reckless speeding in Fairfax when I was hurrying to the Dulles Airport, it is a very serious offense in VA, and it is a Class 1 Misdemeanor. There are so many lawyers who practice traffic defense and it is impossible to know which one would fit my need, i called many different law offices in Fairfax, they took my information but never return my call in a timely manner, however, when Carlos's law assist took my information, I believe Carlos called me back very soon and give me a very long, detailed consultation. I was not sure at that moment because there were also several other lawyers who were also experienced. But what really made me was the flat rate Carlos offered to me and his professional background, his law firm is located steps away from the court and his office is very clean and his staffs are very friendly. Guess what, Carlos is able to lower my Misdemeanor charger to just a simple infraction! He keep me updated and i was able to contact him at any time. I know other lawyers got live twitter for case result but trust me, Carlos is very well in traffic defense and his reputation is not based on twitter result but based on his real talents in law.

My experience with Carlos Wall completely changed my opinion of lawyers and the legal system. This might sound cliché or fake, but I assure you that if you are in trouble with a DUI and/or marijuana possession charge, you can do NO better than to hire the services of Carlos Wall. I was expecting at least to lose my drivers license and undergo a lengthy and costly drug awareness program and community service. However, with what seemed like the stuff of courtroom dramas, Carlos absolutely eviscerated the public prosecutors case against me point by point, until even the judge (I kid you not!) was praising Carlos for his mastery of the law. I did not even end up getting a ticket for the original traffic violation; everything was thrown out! Carlos made sure to keep me in the loop throughout the proceedings, and was respectful every step of the way. I can not sing his praises highly enough!!!

I retained Mr. Carlos Wall after an unfortunate sequence of events where it was necessary to defend myself against DUI charges. During my search for legal representation I was actually recommended by another attorney to Mr. Wall. Acting with complete professionalism, Mr. Wall kept me updated as to potential outcomes. He showed me that he truly cared about me and my case and that he would do anything with in his power to take care of me. Mr. Wall advised me on procedures for extending court dates as I was in the process of moving and advised me on all potential outcomes, once in court. Seeking the right to defend myself, and having faith in my attorney, I elected to take the case to trial. Once in trial, Mr. Wall was shown as capable and professional highlighting the facts of the case and proving my innocence in the matter. It is highly possible that my life would be forever different, if I had not had the good fortune of meeting this man. Nearly all of my charges were dismissed, and I was only responsible for a speeding violation. I highly recommend Mr. Wall.
