Ann Thayer, is a lawyer who cares about her clients, I found myself in a situation that seem like I was never going to get out of. I did not live in the state of VA anymore but my case was being handle in VA so the thought of having to come back and forth to court was over whelming to me but having Ann as my lawyer took all the stress out of a very stressful situation. Ann kept me informed every step of the way, she made sure I fully understood everything, when I had questions she always returned my calls as soon as she could, or would email me to let me know when we would be able to talk. She made a case that seemed like it was impossible to overcome very bearable to deal with. Ann always made sure I was comfortable with choices that given to me and also was very upfront and honest as to what my chances were in doing jail time or not. She never sugar coat anything so I was always well inform of everything I was facing. I keep her number in my cell phone so that if anyone I know ever needs a lawyer I would be recommending Ann Thayer because she is the best

Ann was a great help to me for my Fairfax County, Virginia reckless driving charge. In the end the charge was reduced to speeding and I can't thank Ann enough!

I would be willing to bet that in the vast majority of cases the police violate the rights of those they charge with crimes. Even an "honest" police officer may make mistakes (such as searching a young boy's bag without permission, or detaining him and forgetting to read him the Miranda warning). Why should you be punished for not following the law when the police officer also neglected to follow the law?
I called Ann for a free consultation concerning my son's case. She spent at least 20 minutes on the phone with me and after listening to the details, she pointed out how the police had violated my son's rights multiple times. She filed a motion to suppress the evidence that was illegally obtained and the prosecutor dropped the charges.
In the past, I've gone to lawyers for free consultations and found that most don't want to spend more than a minute with you before asking for money, and I've found many lawyers simply don't know the law. Ann, however, will take time to analyze all the details of your case and give you advice about how to proceed.
During my son's case, I must have exchanged more than 20 emails with her. I gave her all the information I could find, and I kept her informed about any new developments. She used every single fact and document I gave her to build a case that showed the prosecution she meant business. I tried to handle one case against my son without a lawyer and paid dearly. If I have to ever go to court again, I'm going to call Ann because I know she will work to make sure I have a good outcome, no matter how minor the case.
Here is my advice: Call Ann! Make sure you write down bullet points of what happened while it's fresh in your memory. Tell Ann the details. She will take notes, ask lots of questions, and tell you what she can do for you. I know many lawyers will not even do that.
I called her on a Friday, and the next Monday she was in court representing my son at his initial hearing. A month later we went to trial and we had the best possible outcome. She even helped us get a punishment related to a previous charge removed due to medical reasons.
Although Ann fulfilled the terms of her contract with me and could just walk away, she is helping my son recover property the police officer took from him, AND she said she would be with him later this month when he will be called to testify against a dangerous character who has already made threats against him. Isn't she amazing?!?
I honestly don't know where you will find a better lawyer than Ann. Call Ann and then call a couple of other lawyers and you'll see what I'm talking about. Thanks to her my son learned that you can fight for your rights when you've been violated. Her fees were extremely fair--about one-third of what I expected to pay. Stop reading reviews and CALL ANN!

Ann Thayer is incredibly creative in her arguments before a judge or jury which of course greatly benefits her clients. She goes that extra mile with her clients and makes sure that they are involved in their case every step of the way. I highly endorse this attorney.
