If you’re reading reviews for attorneys right now then it probably means you’re feeling overwhelmed with how many lawyers there are and struggling with choosing the right lawyer for your needs and your budget. While I can't speak to everyone's situation, I will tell you about our problem and why ...we (after reading tons of reviews and combing through dozens of websites) chose David Ruben as our Attorney, and why we are 1000% glad that we did! In a nutshell, my 19YO son lost his mind on 1/1/2018 and managed to get clocked going 80MPH in a 40MPH (a federal $550 citation) zone on a military installation, and because it was a construction zone, he was also cited with Reckless Driving (also $550)- In totality, the tickets would cost $1100 and 11 points on my son's record, and if convicted, he would have to turn his license in because we wouldn't be able to afford the car insurance. Next thing you know, I'm doing what you're doing now...Googling traffic attorneys, getting overwhelmed, drinking alcohol, reading Yelp reviews, drinking more..Well, you get the point. So I'm going to save you time (and your alcohol) and advise you to stop banging your head against the wall and just choose David, because if you're in a jam due to traffic tickets or driving citations, he has the experience and skill to make sure you get the best possible defense to fight your dragons. David's prices were very reasonable; he was not the cheapest or the most expensive, but in this type of situation with so much to lose, do you really want to go bargain hunting? Add to the fact that David spent over $60 in parking garage fees and 2 days with us at the federal courthouse, and I almost feel like he didn't charge enough! ;-) David responded immediately to my email explaining our situation, quoted us a flat and fair price from the get-go, and was kind, courteous and knowledgeable about what to expect. He explained the process thoroughly and held our hands through the entire experience, and we felt he really had my son's best interest at heart. From the beginning to the end of the process, David maintained almost instantaneous communication with us regarding our case and it was truly a HUGE relief to know we chose a fair, competent lawyer to help save our son. In the end, the Reckless Driving charge was dismissed, and the 80/40 was placed as a PBJ with a 12 month probation (versus the usual 36 months) and my son only paid $250 fine (plus $30 processing fee) instead of $1,100.00. The outcome was even better than what we had hoped for, and we owe it all to David Ruben- He's the BEST! :-)

Mr. Ruben was hired by me for a DUI case. David was understanding. He fought for me tooth and nail. But, when a judge has made up his mind before the trial even started, there is no turning back. The way the decree was set up, we shouldnt have lost. We should have been in and out. When it comes to a judge, its 50/50. They understand or they ...dont. David tried his best to get the judge to understand my case. You see, the opposing party had already agreed to the terms. They werent just ordered, he agreed. In the end I still believe he was a very superior Attorney. Even though I lost, Id still recommend him because regardless of a judges choice he still represented my case to the fullest. :)

I never heard about the unlawful detainer law that protects a homeowner from individuals living in your home that have been asked to move especially as it pertains to a spouse. Mr. Ruben was confident this would be the best route in the removal process and he was exactly right. The case was decided ...in my favor.
