I never understood why people don't like lawyers until now. Maria was extremely hands off with my DUI case. The MVA portion turned into a huge mess, including a suspension of my license and a forfeited admin hearing because of how hands off she was. The day before my actual court trial (after paying ...her $3500) I was informed she would not be in court but another attorney she passed my case to. She did not strategize with me to try to get a better outcome. I was basically forced to plead guilty and I totally regret not taking my retainer and running from her firm. Don't make the same mistake.
