Dale E. Workman earned his Juris Doctor (JD) degree in 1997 from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida, which has consistently and repeatedly been recognized as the best law school in the nation for producing superior trial attorneys.

Prior to that, he earned his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science in 1993 from the University of South Florida in Tampa. While there, he served as Articles Editor and Feature Writer for the school's Undergraduate Law Review, for which he wrote "Casualty of War," an in-depth analysis of the erosion of the right to privacy that has inevitably resulted from the nation’s War on Drugs.

Since law school, he has continued his education at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, where he earned a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management in 2014.

He is admitted to practice in all state courts throughout Florida, as well as all federal courts throughout the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida and the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia.

He has been recognized as one of the Top 20 Criminal Defense Lawyers in Jacksonville, Florida by the independent professional services review firm Expertise, LLC.  In addition, his “High Ethical Standing” and “High Professional Achievement” has been recognized by fellow attorneys and judges who know him and have worked with him, resulting in a “Distinguished” Peer Review Rating from the renowned attorney review firm Martindale-Hubbell.  He has also received each of the Silver, Gold, and Platinum Client Champion Awards from the same organization based upon multiple reviews from clients that he has represented.

Over the last two decades, he has been affiliated with many legal and professional organizations, including the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL), the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Florida Bar (Business Law, Criminal Law, Public Interest Law, and Trial Lawyers sections), and the Jacksonville Bar Association (Commercial Litigation and Criminal Law sections). He has also served as a member of the Florida Bar’s Traffic Court Rules Committee, and as an attorney advisor for several Teen Court programs throughout the state.

He is an experienced and respected trial attorney with an extensive background in both civil and criminal law, having practiced criminal defense in both the public and private sectors since January 1999 and civil trial law since February 2004.

The only lawyer I'll ever hire
I hired Workman to sue a company that had broken a contract and ripped me off for a large amount of money. He was agressive and very clever. He was always one step ahead of the lawyer on the other side. Workman was always ready for the other guy's next move and had his reaction already set up. The guy we sued refused to negotiate so we had to go to trial. I'm not allowed to say how much we won but it was more money than I've ever seen in one place in my whole life. Workman is the BEST!!!

Smart and Affordable
Smart guy! Down to earth. Really understood the position we were in and didn't take advantage of it. Took a payment plan that we could afford!

Excellent
I was referred to Dale by a friend who he had previously defended on a criminal case. My friend was extremely pleased with Dale's representation. Had a situation arise in which I needed legal representation. I contacted Mr. Workman and set up for a consultation. He immediately got to the root of the issue at hand. Dale was very easy to talk to and explained my options in "layman's" terms. I engaged Mr. Workman and was very very pleased with his performance. I would definitely recommend him.

A busy lawyer
Mr. Workman is extremely busy and sometimes you have to remind him of details. I am staying with attorney Workman because I believe he has integrity, morals, and is a honest genuine human being who enjoys helping others.

Dale Workman is one of the very best!!!
Dale represented my son who was accused of rape and false imprisonment. He was always there for us..answering questions, keeping us updated and fought hard for my son. He was always kind, available, and honest about going to trial. It was a long hard battle as the State Attorney dug her heels in and wouldn’t let go even though the evidence proved the whole thing was ridiculous. He was the bomb during the trial. My son was found not guilty on all charges! I can’t say enough good things about him.

AWESOME!!
The court gave me this lawyer about a year ago when I was arrested for DUI. He was very helpful and explained everything to me. When I had my trial he was unbelievable. The cop that arrested me came into the courtroom very arrogant and acted like I was total scum for daring to question his authority. Mr. Workman told me to relax and wait until we had our turn to question him. By the time this lawyer got done with the cop, he was totally deflated and seemed like he wasn't even sure what his own name was! You could tell he couldn't wait to get out of the courtroom. The jury came back almost immediately with a not guilty! This is the best lawyer ever!!

Down to Earth and Knowledgable
Very down to earth and didn't talk above my head. Helped me actually understand what was happening with my case. Lawyers I've dealt with in the past always had a "trust me I know what I'm doing" attitude and never really helped me understand what was going on. The whole legal process is very frustrating and hard to wrap your head around most times. This lawyer would always make sure I understood my options and help me see how it would effect my future. I screwed up one night and knew I'd have to pay the consequences for it. He made sure the State was fair to me and didn't ruin the rest of my life. He also worked with me on payments. Very realistic about his fees and didn't try to take advantage of the awful situation I was in and needing a lawyer. I couldn't afford to pay him a bunch of money up front and he let me make payments. He's a good guy! He actually ruined my image of lawyers for the better I guess.

Caring Attorney
Mr. Workman represented my son in a criminal matter. He was very geniune and always took the time to explain things to us. Even when I wasn't sure about the process or wasn't understanding what was happening he would explain it as many times as necessary to make us feel comfortable about what was happening. I never once felt like he was pushing us through just to get the case over with. He and his staff always made us feel like they cared about our case and not just our money. When you find yourself in a bad situation in life and you need a professional to help guide you through it is important to me to feel like I know what is going on and that they are really on your side. Mr. Workman did really well by our family.
