My practice is dedicated to helping families through the difficult transitions that are inherent in divorce through non-litigation methods of settlement advocacy including the respectful, solution-based Collaborative Law process. I also am an experienced mediator. When representing clients, I assist them in identifying and attaining goals that are future-focused and child friendly, with a goal toward helping the family as a whole develop mutually agreeable and durable resolutions to those issues of most importance to them. I am consistently recognized by Super Lawyers as one of the top 100 attorneys in Maryland, and in 2015 I was named Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers in America for my work in Collaborative Law. I am the founding President of the Maryland Collaborative Practice Council and the founding President of the Collaborative Divorce Association. I also was Co-Chair of the Collaborative Law Section of the Montgomery County Bar Association for which I was awarded Section Co-Chair of the Year in 2013.
