Collaborative Divorce Attorney Who Was Very Skilled and Professional

I am very impressed with his hard work and professionalism. I sought Richard's guidance two years after my spouse and I negotiated a Separation Agreement dividing our property and providing for payment of spousal support for two years instead of dividing retirement accounts. Rick helped me assess pot...ential risks since my spouse had only recently attained U.S. citizenship after seven years’ marriage. He also filed the Separation Agreement to procure a Mutual Consent Divorce and coordinated amicably with my spouse. He was consistently responsive and collaborative throughout the process. He was able to resolve all issues and answer all questions. His fees were very reasonable.

Piecemeal Divorce Negotiations.

Attorney Dodd negotiated from opposing counsel’s deficient Parenting Agreement, recommending various ‘healthy practices’ and notifications about travel and relocation that were adopted in a binding agreement. Now that we are living separately with the children on a regular schedule we have time to re...concile property division and spousal support so we may file a mutual consent divorce on our family’s terms. I appreciated Rick’s sensitivity to parenting concerns and diligent negotiation throughout.

Co-Parenting and Refinance Coaching to Keep Kids in the Family Home and My Life

Highly recommended for custody and divorce issues

I consulted Attorney Dodd at a time when my wife was traveling with my 11 and 16 year old children, against my wishes. I was already concerned that her behavior was contrary to the children’s best interest, and episodes of severe verbal and corporal punishment and erratic driving escalated my concern... about their safety. Rick counseled me about divorce and custody options, and encouraged counseling with a Pastor and court-ordered custody evaluation, without exerting any pressure. Eventually I decided not to pursue divorce, but instead arranged counseling for my wife in my children’s best interest. Rick was patient and concerned throughout, and refunded a substantial unspent retainer when I notified him of my decision not to divorce. I would highly recommend Rick to anyone considering divorce and custody issues.
