I handle cases across Maryland involving domestic relations, including divorce, custody, child support, custody and child support modifications, domestic violence, property settlement, alimony, post-judgment issues, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. I have resolved such domestic cases for my clients via negotiation, mediation, and litigation. Along with being collaboratively trained, I am also trained to serve as an attorney appointed to represent children in high conflict family matters.

I recognize that my clients are often at a very emotionally and/or financially challenging time in their lives. Each client and each case deserve time, attention and an understanding of the unique family dynamics at issue. I am passionate about clients finding resolutions without the need for costly litigation, which includes assisting my clients with children find child-centered resolutions outside of the courtroom. However, if contested litigation is necessary, I have significant courtroom and litigation experience, and I will zealously represent my clients in court during all stages of the litigation process.

I am the proud owner of a Frenchton puppy named Sammy, a CrossFit Level One Coach, an avid reader, and a huge sports fan.

Thank you Tracey!
Tracey was a godsend during the entire divorce process! During an emotionally charged situation, Tracey always came through to answer my questions the same day, in detail, and without sugar coating the situation. It's greatly appreciated to have someone who can walk you through the process with reasonable expectations. Tracey was always very responsive and I am extremely grateful that she remembered the intricacies of my case without having to ask each time we met. Fingers crossed I never have to experience this again, but if I do, I would absolutely return to her.

Tracey is an Amazing Lawyer
Tracey is an Absolutely amazing, affordable and professional attorney with such quality and class. If I could give her 10 stars I would. Tracey is full of energy and in your corner when she is on your team. There were times during my divorce proceedings when I just wanted to give up and throw the towel in, but she kept reminding me of the end goal and what we were fighting for. I had never in my life had to hire a lawyer and was extremely nervous as the life changing events that brought Tracey and I together were huge to me. She had a lot to take on when she took my case it was a full on huge divorce; alimony, custody proceedings, child support, retirement benefits the splitting of marital assets, and there was the military career time to consider as well. There was a lot of research and homework for the entire team in my case and Tracey knew that and kept everything tidy and on a timeline. She was amazing with keeping me informed of what needed to be done and how the case looked as we proceeded through the months of litigation even when COVID-19 changed things. She kept everything affordable as well which as a newly single mom working two jobs was a huge deal for me. I am very fortunate and blessed to have had Tracey in my corner during what seemed like my life's darkest and most challenging point for me. When COVID-19 hit and our nation had to adapt, Tracey never missed a beat with anything taking place on my case she kept right on with phone calls, emails and virtual meetings. She ensured that our court date and hearing though modified went on even with all the new rules in place. I was confident and relieved to see her on my computer screen when we had our "day" in court. With all of the weight of everything finally off of my shoulders I am now happily and comfortably living and caring for my new family dynamics and it is all thanks to Tracey and her amazing hard work and dedication.

Divorce Support (Attorney)
After 7 years not living with my wife, we decided to file for divorce. I reached out to Tracey to provide insight/guidance on the whole separation/divorce situation. She was extremely helpful. Tracey helped me understand the process and steps involved - made it very easy. The entire process took less than 5 months. She is very knowledgeable and personable. Thank you for your outstanding support and again making the whole process seamless.

Knowledgeable, Reliable, and Supportive
I hired Tracey to represent me through my separation. She was very patient and supportive of me and my choices throughout the whole process. Tracey took the time to explain what I would need to build my case and navigated me through the process, while always having my best interest in the forefront. I felt completely supported by her. If this is a path I have to take, there is no one else I would want by my side.

Child Support Adjustment
I have solicited Ms. Perrick services on a child support adjustment matter. She was very helpful in all regards, filling the required paperwork, keeping the dialog with the opposing party, promptly informing me of the current status, and finalizing with an acceptable agreement for everybody. Highly recommended. Thank you!

Couldn't Ask for Better
Ms. Perrick helped me traverse the troubling waters of my separation and ultimately, my divorce. No one wants to think of or plan such a thing but it was really reassuring to know she had my back and my interested in mind from the very start. She was able to put a lot of the legalese into layman's terms and literally went through my agreement step by step to make sure I was aware of what was going on and what the ramifications would be. One of my biggest concerns was custody and care of my young daughter. Ms. Perrick realized this and made sure we were making the right moves and ensuring we'd come to an agreeable outcome. I couldn't recommend her higher!

Caring, Knowledgable, and Experienced
When I met with her for the first time she asked me what my goals were, asked me lots of questions and really listened to what I said. Throughout the divorce process she would remind me of what my goals were and the outcomes I wanted. She had really listened to me and stayed true to what I wanted even when I was thinking emotionally and wanted to veer from the path. She always did whatever she could to keep the costs down and keep us out of court. She was very honest about what was possible and what had a slim chance of winning in court. BUT if I still wanted to do pursue something she would give it 110%. She was always on top of what was due, always on time, very professional. I always felt supported and that she had mine and my child's best interests as her goal.

Highly skilled, knowledgeable, and genuine!
I hired Tracey to help me through a very unusual child custody/support situation. She was my rock throughout the entire tortorous time, constantly providing shrewd insight and confidence to both my husband and me. She helped us come to a resolution with the biological father that was in the best interest of my child, and she kept costs as low as possible by helping us avoid court. If (heaven forbid) I ever need an attorney in the future, Tracey is the one I trust.

Right person for the job.
Tracey Perrick helped me through a very challenging divorce. Custody and safety of of my two daughters was my highest priority. With Tracey's assistance, we were able to settle the sale of the marital home and all financial matters out of court just before trial. Tracey was very well prepared for trial which focused on custody. She also prepared me for being a witness and being cross examined by wife's attorney. I am very pleased with her professionalism, preparation, approach, flexibility, commitment, execution and above all leadership. She ensured that we complied with legal rules and deadlines so that my case was not jeopardized by technicalities.

Highly Recommend Tracey for Divorcee Litigation
I had been through a few lawyers and needed to make a change to my custody agreement. After research I found Tracey to understand the Law, the Courts, and litigation strategy. Tracey was always very upfront explaining the landscape and navigating the landscape even with details I didn't want to hear. Wish I had Tracey as my first attorney.

HIRE HER!
I can't say enough great things about Tracey Perrick. I hired her to represent me in a child custody case and connected immediately with her. Tracey was diligent, VERY persistent (which is what I needed), and had an incredible work ethic. While she expressed a true empathy for my situation (and my son!) she was NO NONSENSE and passionate about getting the results I wanted. She represented me to the fullest. It's also important to note that Tracey was well respected by others in the court at Howard County.

Firm, compassionate, practical, patient -- excellent divorce attorney
Tracey came recommended to me through a mutual friend/lawyer when I said I wasn't looking for a shark; I was looking for bulldog who was also kind. Tracey is a bulldog...but with a golden retriever thrown in there for good measure. She was so so patient with me as I emotionally prepared for filing for divorce, but she was also firm and persistent about needing to protect myself and my interests regarding my financial life and the security of my children. She gave me time, but was always persistent...a magic combination that I needed more than anything. In the beginning, some of my desires were more sorrow-based, and she advised me about the practical implications of my less sensible wishes. Implications like: paying her way too much in lawyer fees in order to achieve something that would probably make my sad but mostly peaceful divorce far more acrimonious. I never once doubted that she had my best interests at heart; not some billable bottom line. She was also deft at pushing me toward choices she knew would make things cleaner and even kinder in the long run, but that seemed harsher in the present moment. I had no experience with divorce and was very uncertain as to all the steps, and distraught by the black-and-white of some of Maryland's arcane rules around custody, child support, etc. She walked me through the steps, and helped me see things more clearly. And she was also respectful when I held to a choice that she didn't necessarily understand, but accepted my reasoning. In the end, the divorce (in Montgomery Co.) was a short and straightforward case, but Tracey still had a hand on mine while I struggled through my answers to her questions. I say this to point out that while Tracey is clearly amazing at the high-stakes cases in the other reviews, she is also wonderful in the legally simpler situations that are no less heart-breaking.

Highly Reccomend
Tracey Perrick was hired to represent my husband and me, in order to defend a full custody lawsuit for their two children brought on by his ex wife. This case unfortunately was not able to settle, so we had to go to trial. With all of the emotional, financial, and mental tolls that court battles bring on, it was a relief to know that Tracy had the competence to represent us without either of us having to worry or question her strategy. You need someone who has your best interest (and your children's best interest in our case) at heart and who has the confidence to be aggressive when needed but also the compassion to be firm and fair. She took detailed notes, and took a sincere interest in diving deep to understand our situation, which ultimately came through in court. Our case was won. Tracey was able to show the judge how we truly had the children's best interest at the forefront of every decision my husband and I made. Tracey did such an incredible job with the facts and her questions, that the judge ended up issuing a ruling that my husband be awarded full custody. The case was heard in Howard County, and I can imagine was pretty shocking to hear about a "dad" getting full custody. We continued to work with Tracey as my husbands ex filed an appeal. Tracey made sure to follow up and execute a proposed agreement that was professional and yet stern and to the point. I am relieved to say that we have this behind us. I would highly recommend Tracey Perrick to represent you (male or female) if you feel the need to have to hire or speak with a lawyer. I pray that we never have to resort to council again, but if ever needed, Tracey would be our first choice to represent either of us for any family issue.

Highly recommend Tracey Perrick
Tracey Perrick did an outstanding job protecting both my financial interests and, more importantly, my children's safety when establishing a visitation schedule. Unfortunately, my divorce involved extraordinary circumstances related to safety concerns that Tracey handled thoroughly and professionally. Over the years, it has been necessary for me to go back to Tracey for additional legal advice and she has always provided guidance that has been useful and helpful. I highly recommend Tracey Perrick to anyone who has child custody/visitation concerns or has other family law matters.

Compassionate and knowledgable
I met with Tracey not long after my husband left me for someone else, so to say it was an emotional and confusing time for me would be an understatement. Not only was Tracey professional but she was also compassionate to my situation and extremely informative. She continued to answer my many questions (as I really didn't have a good understanding of the laws surrounding divorce in Maryland) without complaint or judgment. She never seemed annoyed or frustrated by my confusion or requests for her to explain things again. Her understanding of the laws and ability to clearly explain processes and next steps to me made this otherwise very stressful time a lot easier. She even regularly checked on me to see how I was doing emotionally so I really felt that she cared about my well being.

countless hours
Tracey will make you feel like your case is her only case. She puts in countless hours of preparation, research, emails and paperwork to win what you want. Her recommendations for your case are always right and she knows the law of Maryland and what the courts might say. She will always respond to your emails promptly and schedules phone calls when convenient for you. She cares about your case and educates you on the steps the case will take. I found Tracey specifically by her positive reviews on avvo.com. She was the right choice.
