Description: The client while pumping gas into his motorcycle at a gas station in Upper Marlboro was hit by a car after it lost control in a car accident. The driver of the car only had $50,000 of car insurance. The Upper Marlboro resident filed a claim against his own insurance company, State Farm seeking the remaining $50,000 of underinsured motorist coverage that his policy provided. State Farm insurance only offered him $15,000. A Prince George's County jury returned a verdict of $178,480.40 against State Farm Insurance Company. The verdict covered his medical bills, lost wages and provided an additional $150,000 for pain and suffering.
