Luckily I had never had the need for a lawyer before in my life, so I was skeptical in how to select one. Excellent and Honest
Mr. Ives is very upfront and honest. We consulted him about some home matters and he gave his assessment of the situation and what our best options were and what we should consider before hiring him. This is the first bad review I’ve received on Avvo after fourteen five star ratings. I guess it is to be expected that after almost 30 years of practice there will be an unhappy ex-client, but it is still disappointing. I’m sorry that this client was not happy with my services. Virginia ethics rules and professionalism prevent me from defending myself by discussing the facts of this client’s case. But I do feel it is important to note that all decisions regarding this intelligent client’s case were made with her full knowledge and consent. I am sorry that this client now indicates that she was unhappy with my services several years after her case ended. I strive to represent my clients to the highest standard and in a manner which leaves them satisfied with my efforts. I would welcome the opportunity to meet with this client to discuss her concerns further.
