Going through a divorce is very troubling and stressful. I hired Ms. Melannie Dino for my divorce case and that was the best decision I ever made. She's truly a phenomenal lawyer, very responsive, always provided me with all options including pros and cons for each of them. On top of all that, she and her team were very supportive humanly. Melannie Dino is a senior associate attorney at Livesay & Myers, P.C., practicing exclusively family law. An attorney since 2001, Ms. Dino has litigated every type of family law case in the courts of Northern Virginia, including contested divorce, custody, support, and high value equitable distribution cases. Ms. Dino works in the firm’s Ashburn office, and represents clients in Ashburn, Leesburg, Loudoun County and all across Northern Virginia.

Originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, Ms. Dino earned her Bachelor of Science in Communications in 1996 from nearby Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She proceeded to earn her J.D. from Widener University Law School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 1999.

Ms. Dino then returned to Erie to work in the law practice of her father, a prominent bankruptcy lawyer in Erie for decades. It was there that Ms. Dino got her first taste of family law, working in the thriving family law practice of her father’s partner. The practice area seemed a natural fit for Ms. Dino–as the third of five children, she says, she was the “peacemaker and mediator in the family.”

Although she could easily have followed in her father’s footsteps as a hometown attorney in Erie, Ms. Dino and her law school beau, moved to Northern Virginia, wed, and launched law careers together–with Ms. Dino going to work at XM Satellite Radio (in D.C.).

Ms. Dino worked for three years at XM Satellite Radio as a Coordinator for National Site Acquisition, before leaving that job in 2004 to pursue her passion for family law. She joined a family law firm in Vienna, Virginia, and has practiced family law in Northern Virginia ever since.

Ms. Dino’s commitment to her clients, work ethic, and extensive knowledge of family law combine to serve his clients extremely well. In 2019, Ms. Dino received the prestigious AV Preeminent rating (the highest possible rating) for ethical standards and legal ability from Martindale-Hubbell. In 2014 she was named one of the Ten Leaders Under Age 45 in Matrimonial & Divorce Law in Northern Virginia. Ms. Dino currently holds a perfect 10.0 rating from Justia.

Great Representation from Excellent Lawyers at Livesay & Myers

I would definitely recommend Mrs. Melannie Dino and Mrs. Michelle Evans from the law firm of Livesay & Myers to assist anyone that would be in need of great representation. I selected Mrs. Dino and Mrs. Evans to assist me regarding my divorce case. This was my first time going through an experience like this so I needed representation from attorneys that were quite experienced when it came to legal matters in this particular area. They were quite knowledgeable in this area and I could not have selected two better individuals to assist me regarding my case. Both Mrs. Dino and Mrs. Evans were easily reachable and responsive whenever I had questions that needed answered and they were always on top of my case. I was always kept informed of upcoming dates where responses were necessary and my representation always had the answers. I did not have to worry too much regarding the situation as Mrs. Dino and Mrs. Evans thoroughly laid out the process in a concise and easy to comprehend step by step plan. Protective Order

Ms. Melannie Dino was God sent! After having numerous issues with the previous law firm, Melannie Dino was a breathe of fresh air. Her paralegal, Michelle Evans was talented & pleasant to work with all the time. God used the Judge to award EVERYTHING we asked for in my two year PO case!! She heard all the facts. Divorce

I hired Ms. Dino to represent me to initiate a separation agreement for divorce. Ms. Dino is professional and promptly responded to any questions that i had. She met with me to discuss my options and was very detailed in drafting my agreement. She made things very easy for me during this difficult time. Child Support Modification

I retained Melannie to help navigate and finalize a child support modification to my existing divorce settlement. She worked the specifics of my case to ensure the result of my settlement was fair and reasonable within the state guidelines. She framed the legal issues in such a way that I felt comfortable with the final results of the modification settlement. She worked changes promptly and was very responsive throughout the entire process.

I recommend Melannie and her team
