Stephen P. Norman, Esq., a member of the Delaware, Maryland, Washington, DC, and California (inactive) bars, and the U.S. District Courts of Delaware and Maryland, is also an active member of the Maryland Association of Justice, National Police Accountability Project, national Employment Lawyers Association, and Delaware Trial Lawyers Association.


Practicing law in Dagsboro and Wilmington, Delaware, Stephen was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Rockville, Maryland, attending Thomas S. Wootton High School. Graduating from the University of Colorado in 1990 with a B.S. in Business and receiving Cum Laude Honors, Mr. Norman continued his education at the University Of Maryland School Of Law. He became an associate editor of the Business Lawyer, and was presented an award for publishing in the field of computer copyright law. He recently wrote an article soon to be published in the Delaware Law Review pertaining to Defamation law regarding when judicial privileges are absent in litigation.


His career includes legal counsel positions in both government and private business. Stephen Norman has established and ran prosperous businesses since a teenager, starting in conjuction with his brothers' one of the most profitable farm market operations in the Washington, DC area. His paramount legal position was as an assistant county attorney in St. Mary’s County, Maryland, representing the Board of County Commissioners, Ethics Commission, Board of Appeals, and Planning Commission. Next, after serving in the house counsel for L&N Realty, Inc., he founded Sussex Title and Escrow where he and his partners cultivated into one of the most successful real estate settlement establishments in the Washington, DC and Eastern Shore areas with annual sales grossing at $4 million.


Stephen applies his business knowledge to his legal practice, and believes that viewing the legal issues from a monetary analysis in the perspective of his clients' enables him to offer essential advice during the premier step of representation to determine whether or not to pursue legal action.
