About me

Amy B. Good is the Managing Attorney of the Berks County office of MidPenn Legal Services.  Before joining legal services, Amy’s career was focused exclusively on consumer law with a focus on consumer bankruptcy.  At MidPenn, Amy continues to concentrate her practice in the area of consumer bankruptcy and consumer issues,  and also works in MidPenn’s other practice areas as needed.

Amy is a recipient of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Pro Bono Award and the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Medal of Excellence.  Amy is a graduate of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judge’s Next Generation Program, which selects only 40 bankruptcy practitioners to participate annually nationwide.  The Program is designed to host attorneys who deserve special recognition for their professional accomplishments to date and who show the potential to distinguish themselves in future years as highly-respected members of the bankruptcy bar.  Amy serves as the Chair of the Berks County Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Section and serves as the Chair of the Berks County Bar Association’s Mortgage Foreclosure Diversion Task Force.  Amy is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the National Association of Consumer Attorneys, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Conference, and the Middle District Bankruptcy Bar Association, among other legal organizations.

Amy’s speaking engagements included CLEs such as “Abuse Under Section 707(b) of the Bankruptcy Code:  Means Testing and the Debtor’s Financial Condition”, “Alternatives to Foreclosure, Bankruptcy & Foreclosure, Ethics & Foreclosure Defense”, and “Understanding Credit Reports.”  Amy also appeared on Reading’s local television station, BCTV, to discuss the topics “Consumer Bankruptcy and Debt Issues” and “Debt Collection and Consumer Bankruptcy.”
