In 2011, the Legal Clinic for the Disabled (LCD) established PhilaKIDS, a Medical-Legal Partnership (MLP) with St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. LCD knew that many families we served had immigration law issues, but we were unable to meet those needs. LCD’s clients are low-income, living with physical disabilities or caring for children with special health care needs, and often struggling to meet basic needs.
