Citizenship

I’ve talked to several lawyers about my case by far Ricky was the most organized and had the most positive massage and knowledge. He took my case, however my case wasn’t easy but not for Ricky and his professional team who stayed on top. He is an expert in my opinion, and you cannot go wrong having h...im as your lawyer. Everyone even google ;-) were saying I’m not eligible for my citizenship but I have it!!! without Ricky I wouldn’t have it !!

US citizenship

Excellent immigration attorney

I contacted Ricky after searching for an immigration lawyer on this website. He replied promptly and we met less than a week after. He was very respectful, patient, kind, and knowledgeable of his field. He explained what will be the course of the case, what kind of issues may be encountered and how w...e can counteract them. I hired him few days after the meeting. While we were waiting for my case to be approved, I separated from my spouse and decided to divorce. Ricky was extremely supportive and he worked hard to withdraw my spouse's application. I was scheduled for a green card interview and Ricky went with me, helping me to explain the situation with my spouse. I am now a happy green card holder and I want to acknowledge Ricky's hard work and dedication to his clients. My case was a rocky road and Ricky helped me throughout it. Complex Adotion/Immigration Case

Ricky was such a huge help. I adopted a child from Liberia but it was an unusual case since my son was here initially on a student visa. Elijah at a young age was left by his mother to live with his grandparents, when his grandfather died he was shuffled between his uncle’s houses. I started sponsori...ng Elijah in Liberia in 2010 and after years of communication enrolled him in a student exchange program in the US in 2015. After spending some time here Elijah started opening up about his treatment in Liberia. He was treated like a child slave and physically and mentally abused. After hearing about his treatment and also how I was being used by his family to extort money, I knew it wasn’t in my best interest or Elijah’s for him to return to Liberia. I contacted his uncle and proposed adoption. His uncle didn’t hesitate to say “yes”. Not knowing what steps to take, I contacted someone from the Dept. of State and explained the situation. He gave me the name of a lawyer in Liberia who worked with Elijah’s uncle to complete the adoption with involvement with me. My main role was pressuring the lawyer to get the adoption completed before Elijah’s visa expired. After I had the adoption decree from Liberia I didn’t know the next steps so I contacted an adoption lawyer from my county. He agreed that the adoption decree was legal but he wanted me to meet with Ricky to discuss the immigration factors since Elijah was here on a student visa and I was getting pressured greatly by the Student Exchange Organization to send Elijah back to Liberia. I met with Ricky and explained the circumstances to him which lead up to the adoption. He said although the adoption decree was legal it wasn’t valid for immigration status change since the law states that a child must be 15 years or younger and Elijah had turned 16 before the adoption was completed. He told me that considering the abuse and extortion, we should file for political asylum. He said that it would likely not be granted because it is very difficult but it would buy time since the process could sometimes take a couple years. To our dismay, Elijah’s asylum hearing was scheduled just about 2 months after the application was filed. We went for the interview and several months later Elijah received his Employment Authorization Card. Even after receiving the letter it wasn’t clear what it meant. Ricky viewed the card and document and confirmed that asylum was granted. It was a long stressful road but Ricky was always there to answer questions and give the best guidance he could give. His knowledge of the laws proved to be invaluable in this very complex case. We are currently in the final stage of a re-adoption and Elijah is doing great. He brought so much love and life to our family. He’s doing phenomenal in school and socially well adjusted. A young man has been given a chance of a new life and success due in part to Ricky’s keen knowledge, judgement and compassion.
