With all due respect, perhaps you could write a more understandable post. I think there was a citation issued for disorderly conduct to you but I am not sure that is the case. Bottom line, you have 10 days to respond to the citation to plead guilty or not guilty. I suggest not guilty so you can have a hearing. Next call a lawyer for a meeting and retain the lawyer to represent you. It is clear from your post that you are not equipped to represent yourself.

You have 10 days from the day your got the citation to respond. Look on the ticket where it says "I plead not guilty". Sign the ticket there and send/take it to the District Court indicated on the ticket and ask for a hearing. Next call a traffic lawyer and make an appointment. There are ways to prevent you from getting points on your license.

With all due respect, stop being a "jail house lawyer" without any training or experience. Obtain the services of a real, qualified attorney to advise you and take on your representation.

  • What are his chances if he admits to selling the stolen property, we are talking thousands of dollars in value

Just found out my son stole from his friends father, irreplaceable coins worth thousands of dollars ex Buffalo nickels, barber dimes, a collection over this mans lifetime. My son pawned them within the last week or so. This man loves my son like ...

    Theodore’s Answer

I agree with my colleagues. Contact an experienced criminal defense attorney immediately. Do not try to handle this by yourself. If the thefts have been reported, the police probably have a good idea where the items were sold and who sold them. I agree that your son needs serious, intense inpatient treatment for an extended period of time. And as one colleague stated, "Do not trust your son". Most lawyers on this site, offer free initial consultations. Call some.

    Theodore’s Answer

PLEAD NOT GUILTY! Contact the court and ask for a hearing.. You have 10 days to do so. (You will find the phone and address near the top left of the yellow citation.) Next call a criminal defense lawyer. This is not something you can do yourself and what you do next could seriously affect your future.

    Theodore’s Answer

Don't ask any more lawyers, including New Jersey. I agree with most of what my colleagues have offered. End the "relationship" based on what you have been told. You have opened yourself up to a potential world of serious problems. Even without sexual contact, you may have created a problem based on phone calls, texts and emails. I had a client who got into a similar situation and ended up with "a relative of the girl" accusing the client of committing a crime but would drop everything for a payment. You may be a victim of a scam. Have a local lawyer's phone number on speed dial
