ROBERT CLOFINE wasborn on May 30, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a 1978 cum laude graduate of Villanova Universityand a 1982 cum laude graduate of the University ofPittsburgh School of Law, where he served on the Law Review. 

 

In May 2000, Mr. Clofine became the 6th Pennsylvaniaattorney to be Certified as an Elder LawAttorney by the National Elder Law Foundation (NELF). NELF is the onlyorganization accredited by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to offer acertification in elder law. There are still fewer thana 40 Pennsylvania attorneys whohave received this certification.

 

Mr. Clofine has been quoted and mentioned by USAToday, Money Magazine, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, Kiplinger’sRetirement Report, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Personal Wealth Manger,Mutual Fund Magazine, Fortune and Forbes in articles dealing with estateplanning and elder law.

Highly Professional and Easy to Work With
We engaged Mr. Clofine to help us understand and deal with a Trust we had developed years ago. He explained why the trust was much more than we needed in our circumstances and recommended a more straight forward approach. We like the more simplified way of dealing with our estate.

My wife and I consulted with Attorney Clofine for updating our old estate documents. During the consultation he carefully and clearly explained what changes should be made to make them more complete, effective and uptodate. He also pointed out mistakes that we had made with regards to naming beneficiaries in our financial accounts that did not align with the old estate documents. We hired Attorney Clofine because of his knowledge and expertise. He was polite, professional and delivered exactly what we were looking for. We recommend him highly.

Real estate sale
We moved out of Sate and sold our house. Distance made it impractical for us to attend meetings with the real estate agent, including the Settlement proceedings. Attorney Clofine was our representative. He covered all the bases, kept us informed, and provided all the necessary documents for a very smooth and efficient transaction. All for a quite reasonable fee.

Research yielded a very good evaluation of Attorney Clofine, before we retained his services for my parents. The four plus years of dealing with Rob have verified this evaluation. Rob has been very knowledgeable, professional and has provided excellence service to my parents and then to me as the executor/administrator of my parents estates. We have recommended Rob to friends who are in need this type of service. We plan on having Rob prepare the wills and necessary paperwork for my wife and myself. In summary, Rob's credentials are excellent and his service meets those credentials.

May be a great lawyer but his personality sucks
This lawyer may be great and knowledgeable. But when I called him for help about my mother's estate he was a bit of a jerk. Yes, we did contact him months after our mother's death. But he didn't have to make me feel bad for not contacting a lawyer sooner and point out to me that it sounds like we made a mess of her estate and he was too busy, enquired how would pay and then stated had no desire to take us on. Which is fair enough but he could have shown a little empathy and at least expressed a wee bit of sympathy albeit feigned that my mother had died. I would not recommend this lawyer no matter how great he is.

I did take the time to return this prospective client's call and explained that the situation was somewhat of a mess and I wasn't in the position to assist to her. I referred her to two other local attorneys. She was obviously upset about the situation she was in and I am sorry I wasn't able to assist her.
