Eric S. Lamprey earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Pennsylvania State University in 1997 and his law degree from Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg in 2006, where he was the recipient of the Legal Research and Writing Award. He worked full time throughout college and also while attending law school in the evenings, a testament to the values of hard work and determination that his parents modeled.

Mr. Lamprey has committed his career to the practice of workers’ compensation throughout central and eastern Pennsylvania. He joins our firm after nearly 12 years at a large regional defense firm where he was a shareholder and lectured extensively on various workers’ compensation topics across the state. Having litigated hundreds of cases on behalf of employers and insurance companies from trial to verdict, Mr. Lamprey gained extensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of how corporations and the insurance industry manage Pennsylvania workers’ compensation claims.

After his oldest son was involved in a near fatal accident at 3 years old and after several surgeries, therapy and years of new fittings for prosthetics, Mr. Lamprey came to the realization that he needed to use his law degree and experience to work for injured individuals. His son now leads a very active and healthy life, but his family’s struggles against insurance companies over the years as they advocated for treatment for his son, created a desire to help people navigate the insurance systems. He joined Calhoon & Kaminsky in January 2018 and is dedicated to helping injured workers.

Mr. Lamprey currently resides in Camp Hill with his wife, 2 children and 2 dogs. He is actively involved in his community and has dedicated his spare time to coaching youth basketball and baseball. He is also an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, kayaking and backpacking with his family.
