My primary emphasis is using plain English to make legal documents and issues clear and unambiguous. You should not need a legal education to understand your documents and legal issues. My aim is to demystify the legal process for my clients and, through the use of plain English, to avoid disputes that often occur due to poorly written documents.
I am an original member, and currently chair, of the Plain English Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) . I am active in the PBA's Solo and Small Firm Practice Section and serve as editor of the Section newsletter. I have written articles for both attorneys and nonattorneys about legal issues and the use of technology to support law and business practices. I'm also active in the PBA's Commission on Women in the Profession and the American Bar Association's GP|Solo Division.
I am mom to two great adult children and two wonderful retired racing greyhounds. I'm also an avid SCUBA diver.
