My wife called the police and falsely accused me of strangling and beating her after she started an argument and attacked me in our home. I was arrested and charged with felony strangulation, simple assault, and harassment. This was the first time I have ever been in trouble with the law, and my bai...l bondsman told me if I wanted the best, to call Brian Manchester. Thank God I did. Brian met with me immediately and explained the situation and charges. During our preliminary hearing, my wife put on a theatrical show that had the courtroom in suspense. Brian methodically broke down her arguments and we confidently plead not guilty to all charges. After my wife filed a Protection from Abuse against me, she pursued a long and frequent series of attempted contact with me and with Brian to “have charges dropped.” Brian protected me by making it clear that under no circumstance should I engage her in conversation. She eventually found me at a friend’s house and tried to engage me in an argument. I did what Brian told me, I did not engage her and called the police. They found her later at my home stealing items and she was convicted of criminal trespass and harassment. Brian worked with the District Attorney throughout this entire process, keeping her informed of our status. Eventually the District Attorney was able to see that my wife was the aggressor, and the felony strangulation and simple assault charges were dropped. I accepted a harassment charge for defending myself that night and paid a $50 fine. Brian truly cares about his clients and goes the extra mile to protect their rights. My situation ended up that we couldn't hire Brian because our case took us into another county, 3 hours away, but after talking with Brian I realized there is hope out there people to actually find a great lawyer.
