Mr Michael Waltman recently represented me on a DUI case as a member of the Meyer Darragh law firm. I was initially represented by Mr Kim Riester, but the case was passed
on to Mr Waltman.
When I first met Mr Waltman, any reservations I had were quickly dismissed. Mr Waltman is professional, eloquent, intelligent, knowledgable, concise, persuasive, and likable. In a nutshell, if I could design what I would imagine a perfect trial attorney to be, Mr Waltman would be it.
Throughout the many phases of my trial, Mr Waltman, Mr Riester, and all of the staff at Meyer Darragh, treated my case with exceptional care. But, above and beyond what I ever imagined, was Mr Waltman.
On my trial, he argued that the traffic stop which led to my DUI charge was illegal. He was litigating a motion to suppress which Mr Riester and staff had filed. I do not think it is possible to argue a case better than Mr Waltman did.
When Mr Waltman was cross examining the arresting officer, it was amazing how easily he got the officer to admit to the deficiencies in the DAs case. It was almost as if the officer was a witness on my behalf - a testament to Mr Waltman's eloquence and likability.
Ultimately, the judge ruled in our favor and the motion to suppress the traffic stop was granted.
I can say with no reservation that I owe this result to Mr Waltman, Mr Riester, and Ms AbuNuwar at Meyer Darragh. I highly
recommend them to anyone and everyone. Although I never intend on requiring Mr Waltman represent me again, should the need ever arise I will without hesitation retain him.
In closing, Mr Waltman won the case in spite of me. To say he is an exceptional attorney would border on insult.
Thank you Michael.

Attorney Waltman beyond exceeded my expectations. He devoted his time to me in order to have a thorough understanding of my situation and applied that knowledge in court. He was well-prepared and decimated the prosecution with planned and precise questioning. As a result, all 7 of my charges were dismissed at the preliminary hearing. Had it proceeded to trial, I am confident to say he would have represented me extremely well. I highly recommend Attorney Waltman to anyone with DUI charges. He saved me from a very lengthy license suspension, an enormous amount of financial debt, possible jailtime, etc..Most of all Attorney Waltman restored my integrity.

Michael Waltman represented our son in a double homicide case where the Commonwealth charged our son with two counts of first degree murder. The Commonwealth was adamant, all the way through the jury trial, that the deaths were executed with premeditation and malice. Mr. Waltman’s professional legal skill and competencies were instrumental in persuading the jury to return a not guilty verdict on all counts of murder and manslaughter, thereby giving our son his freedom back.
Mr. Waltman’s careful assessment and thorough exploration and analysis of the evidence enabled him to recognize, prepare and vigorously argue a self-defense case. He uncovered every stone in his quest for evidence and discovery. He followed every lead and countered the prosecutors every move with tangible and relative evidence and witness accounts. He evaluated and scrutinized the evidence and voice recordings with a critical eye/ear and called out material discrepancies in the transcripts. He employed the best scientific methods and professional expert witnesses to establish facts critical to the case. These services were imperative to the case and he managed those expenses as our fiduciary with good stewardship.
Mr. Waltman continuously made himself accessible to us over the entire course of 13 months and always kept us informed every step of the way. He gave us much confidence and peace of mind throughout the long ordeal. Moreover, Mr. Waltman’s visits were of much encouragement to our son throughout his incarceration. And he served as a conduit for us in communicating matters of privacy.
Mr. Waltman is very careful, thoughtful and deliberate when speaking. Notwithstanding, he was quick to make objections and challenges to the application of law, while showing all the courtesies and respect due the court. He speaks with candor and is a person of integrity and unquestionable honesty who values the truth. In court, he was exceptionally articulate. Beginning with his opening remarks, he laid out the flaws and weaknesses in the case that the prosecutor would put forward, while establishing the foundation for his defense in simple, concrete terms. His arguments were well constructed and compelling, leading the jury to make sensible conclusions.
This proved to be an exhausting trial to prepare for, but that didn’t deter Mr. Waltman from working the case long after his budgeted hours were spent. He freely devoted his personal time to work the case and labored tirelessly during the 10-day trial. We were well served to have our son represented by Mr. Waltman and will forever be grateful.
