Carla was our attorney for selling our house in Ithaca. We did not feel our interested was protected during the whole process. She did not speak for us or take actions when the closing date was postponed by the buyer, which actually caused significant monetary loss for us. At the end of the transaction she charged more than the flat fee that she told us at the beginning, which is more than the average real estate lawyer in Ithaca. After several months, we accidentally found her calculation was wrong in the closing statement. A water bill credit was given to the buyer that should not have to. Although we got this bill fixed later but if we did not notice this (this should be her work) this would never been found. An overall disappoint experience.

It is not often that you come across an attorney who is not only knowledgeable and proficient, but also remarkably personable and compassionate. Carla McKain really went above and beyond what I even imagined possible and has handled my case with great skill and professionalism. I highly recommend that anyone and everyone retain her legal services should the need arise to hire a simply amazing attorney. You can feel confident in knowing that your case will receive the utmost care, expertise, and attention.
