When my husband, and I first started this journey with immigration, and deportation we where left hopeless. 4 years ago my husband was put into the deportation process to go back to Haiti for something he did 27 years ago as a young man. When he was first detained I had no clue what was happening, and why it was happening. I spent thousands of dollars on consultations with lawyers who where over priced, an...d didn't seem to have anything good to say about my husbands case. I was told by a couple of the lawyers his best bet was to voluntarily depart from the US to avoid being banned for over a decade!
