Scott Peterson founded D’Orazio Peterson, LLP to provide representation to individuals in employment and serious injury matters.
Scott attended Albany Law School, where he served as a Managing Editor on the Albany Law Journal of Science and Technology. Prior to opening his own firm, he worked for two Albany-based law firms, where he focused his practice on litigation in the areas of construction, medical malpractice, employment law and serious injury cases.
In addition to providing frequent legal commentary for local and national media outlets, Mr. Peterson has also been published in the New York Law Journal as well as elsewhere, and has represented plaintiffs in both the State and Federal courts throughout New York State. He current writes an “Employment Litigation” column for the Saratoga County Bar Association newsletter, and serves on the Executive Committee of the NY State Bar Association Trial Lawyers Section. In 2013, Scott was selected to the Upstate New York Super Lawyers List in the field of Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Litigation.
In his free time, Scott spends time with his family and enjoys cooking, reading, traveling and playing golf. He also enjoys giving back to his community: he is a current board member of the Saratoga Affordable Housing Group, volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region, and serves on the Executive Committee of the Saratoga Performing Arts Center Junior Committee. Finally, Scott uses his prominence in the New York legal community to speak with and educate young students about the law and their roles in society, and donates time to serve as a mock judge/advisor in local mock trials.
