ATTORNEY PROFILE

A 1985 graduate of Boston’s Northeastern Law School, I have over twenty-five years’ experience as a practicing trial attorney in the Albany, NY Capital District. I have represented hundreds of clients in the criminal, civil, and family courts of New York State. I have advised clients on the formation of both political and not-for-profit organizations and have served as principal lobbyist for statewide organizations, representing them before the New York State Legislature.

In 1976 I graduated cum laude from the State University of New York (SUNY Albany) with a double-major Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Rhetoric and Communication.

I am the current CEO and President of the Saratoga Foundation for Women WorldWide, Inc., and have operated domestic and foreign programs since 2000.

From 1996-2000 I was President of the National Organization for Women – New York State and from 1989-1996 I was its principal lobbyist.

From 1984-l989 I worked in the Albany County District Attorney’s Office as the prosecutor in the Colonie, Bethlehem and Cohoes Justice Courts, this preceded by my work in the Albany County DA Office’s  Sex Crimes Unit.

From 1989-1991 I served as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Cohoes. And from 1978-1982 I was Legislative Analyst for the Assembly Speaker’s Program and Committee staff.

I am a former adjunct Government Department Professor of Skidmore College and I have been a law guardian in Family Court since 1990. In addition I am admitted to practice in Federal Court.
