Eviction

I hired Bryan for an Eviction in West Islip, NY . Bryan took care of all the paperwork... went to court and obtained a judgement for eviction in a timely manner. Additionally , Bryan is easy to reach and always answered my questions.

Highly Recommended!! Worth More Than 5 Stars

I found Bryan after I had a bad experience with another attorney. My father died, and we had to take care of my mom, a house, IRAs, and bank accounts that were completely unprotected. I had to figure out how to protect them, and I didn't know where to start. I started working with an elder care... attorney who was referred to us by a friend. When we told her our plans, she said, "You can't do that." She started trying to figure out creative ways to protect money so Medicaid wouldn't penalize mom for gifting it to us. She came up very short. She told us that she could get us about a third of what we needed to put an addition on the house for mom. She did not want to explain much and had the "don't worry about it. I'm the lawyer, let me handle it" type of attitude, which doesn't sit well with me. I searched for another lawyer, and luckily, I found Bryan Berson. On the first phone call, he gave me more information and educated me more than the other lawyer had done in a few months. After that phone call, I knew he was the guy I wanted to work with. He developed a couple of different action plans. He has gotten us much, much more than we expected. Under the Medicaid law, he used a real estate transaction to protect hundreds of thousands of dollars – many multiples of what our first lawyer said she could protect. We were able to pay off the mortgage. There is plenty money to take care of mom. Based on what I've been told and experienced, most elder care attorneys seem to deal mainly with wills and trusts. Sometimes those tools are not the right ones for the job, and you need to think unconventionally. This is where Bryan shines. He is smart and thorough. You will have no doubt that whatever plan he works out with you is a good one. He explains things so you understand every step you are taking. He will break out law books and show you things so you know what he is saying is actually in writing somewhere. He has explained everything I ever asked him to, and he even sent a memoranda for me to read in case I forgot something. He will be also setting up a plan for my wife and myself to protect what we have and to make things easier for our son. I wish I knew more people to refer to him because he is definitely the one you want for elder care planning, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Probate of Estate

Bryan did an excellent job explaining the probate process and walking us through each step. He was very patient with our questions and consistently made thoughtful, professional assessments with prompt answers and excellent legal guidance.
