During the proceedings, I felt that the hearing was conducted in an unbalanced manner. Specifically, the judge appeared to give significantly more consideration to the mother’s statements while repeatedly interrupting or dismissing my attempts to present my side of the case. Despite submitting verifi...ed documentation and evidence supporting my claims, these materials were not acknowledged or reviewed in a meaningful way. As a parent, I fully respect the court’s authority and the difficult decisions judges must make. However, I believe that every party deserves an impartial hearing and an opportunity to have their evidence fairly considered. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed to ensure that judicial conduct in family court remains consistent with the principles of fairness and neutrality.

What I anticipated to be a straightforward process for a child support proceeding at the Queens Family Court turned into an unpleasant and uncomfortable experience with Magistrate Jameelah Hayes. Both the respondent and I were subjected to disdainful treatment and belittled. The lack of professional...ism, and her behavior was completely unprovoked. The magistrate treated me as if i was the typical undesirable uneducated delinquent. I do not Recommend this individual and heed warning to anyone seeking counsel!
