I contacted Richard R. Via the avo 15 consult. He explained the very basics to me as he didn't have any of the paperwork to see so he couldn't possibly give me answers that I had hoped for. When I realized he wasn't a mind reader, I made an appointment for a free consultation. He spent over an hour with me. I felt comfortable hiring him for my bankruptcy and he didn't let me down.

My experience with Attorney Rosenthal was refreshing. He was straightforward with me in explaining the knowns and unknowns regarding my criminal case. He was unwilling to give me answers on the phone without knowing the complete scenario. When I came into his office as he requested, he spent a lot of time with me and answered my questions after learning the full facts. Thanks for caring Mr. Rosenthal.

I knew from the consultation that Mr.Rosenthal would be the one to help me with my criminal and divorce matter and work at 100% to keep my family feeling secured.

I did not feel confident in the answers that Rich R gave me over the phone. He kept telling me the outcome of my case would be determined by the DA's mood that day. That's an answer I'm out comfortable with. I ended up reaching out to another lawyer that was able to help me.

Richard Bruce Rosenthal’s response: “A lawyer’s duty to keep client confidence has few exceptions and in abundance of caution I do not feel at liberty to respond in a point-by-point fashion in this forum. Suffice it to say that I do not believe that the post presents a fair and accurate picture of the events. As to questions regarding what the prosecutor will do on the return date in Court, this is always subject to many different considerations, including the nature of the crime alleged, the specific facts of this case, the injuries or losses that occurred, the defendant’s prior criminal history and the feelings of the Assistant District Attorney assigned to the case (who often has great discretion in offering plea bargains). While we can often suggest what the offer might be, there is no way an attorney, without having fully discussed all of the foregoing issues and having spoken with the assigned Assistant, can say what will occur at the future Court appearance with any certainty. A 15 minute telephone consultation can only properly deal with general questions concerning a client’s situation and does not create the formation of an attorney client relationship for the underlying case and thus is generally not an appropriate forum to delve into the specific and confidential details of the matter necessary to give a full and specific legal opinion. It is for this reason that we offer a free in person consultation which allows a much more in depth analysis of the client’s issues and allows us to discuss possible alternative methods of dealing with the case.”

I felt like non of my questions were answered. A dog attorney contacted me not someone with good experience in criminal law. Honestly I felt like I've gotten better advice from lawyers that I have interviewed in the past. He didn't seem knowledgeable on the subject. A lot of the responses were I don't know or I can't say. Just feels like a waste of money

All he wants was for me to set up an appointment with him. Didn't even answer my question.

In dealing with a bankruptcy matter there are a number of disclosures that the Bankruptcy Rules require must be made at the first consultation. Thus it would be improper to delve into the specific details of the possible bankruptcy without first providing the disclosures. I needed a capable attorney to help me with some serious legal issues that if not handled right, could have cost me my future. I interviewed 4 attorneys and Mr. Rosenthal was the only one that I felt was telling it to me straight, the good and the bad. He was right about everything. I am grateful for his help in my very serious matter.
