I retained Lonnie Hart on a felony case. I was out on bail. After almost 2 years of court dates and I was remanded to jail after a problem arose with the bail company. Fine. I still had Lonnie Hart retained, and was still paying Lonnie Hart. Now I'm going to court from jail. And after paying over 8 t...housand dollars on a 10 thousand dollar agreement... Mr Lonnie Hart decides, all by himself, that I am now unable to pay him any more. And he takes it upon himself to have my case handed over to the state appointed 18-B attorney. Just like that, after spending thousands, I no longer had a private attorney. Lonnie Hart offered no actual reason(s) as to why this happened. He did actually offer to assist the state appointed 18-B lawyer. LOL. Imagine that, over 8 thousand dollars for Lonnie Hart to assist a legal aid! I truly felt and still feel taken advantage of , lied too, and ultimately scammed by this man. 2+ years of court dates, with 1 motion filed. Over 8 thousand dollars spent with less than 2 thousand dollars owed to him... And Lonnie decides to cut and run, leaving me confused, embarrassed, without council, and without money for a new council. All this while I was incarcerated!
