Sorry, but is improper for an attorney to comment on another attorney's work. That said, Medicare has a lien and your lawyer has a mandatory obligation to resolve.

    Jeffrey’s Answer

Not to excuse any negligent conduct, but quite candidly, a jury may tend to be more empathetic to the shelter than to you. That aside, and the fact that they should pay for your doctor's visit, you would have to prove legal responsibility and your injury should be more than some aches/pains. Do get appropriate medical attention, do consult with local/qualified counsel; and most importantly, if you are ok, try to work this out amicably. Good luck.

    Jeffrey’s Answer

You should always report an incident to police and insurance asap. Your insurance company may very well disclaim coverage for late notice. Strongly suggest you consider consulting with (retaining if necessary) an attorney as to how to possibly overcome the looming denial of coverage.

  • Do I need a lawyer to get medical treatment?

My mother was admitted through ER with bowel obstruction/tumor, but surgery was not performed for five days. She had a colectomy and colostomy. The colostomy has been just pouring fluid/stool since then. The surgeon keeps blaming her body shape an...

    Jeffrey’s Answer

This is indeed unfortunate (and likely preventable). Aside from meeting with the hospital administrator or ombudsman, or another facility, treatment options are limited. Do consult with an attorney regarding a potential malpractice claim. More potential bad news, malpractice rarely results in litigation. The law is skewed to protect the medical industry, costs to process can be extreme and results are far from certain. Good luck.

    Jeffrey’s Answer

Sorry, can't advise you whether or not you should file charges. You should file a report of the incident with the local PD. As for damage to the vehicle, usually best to submit to your own collision carrier. If you don't have or choose not to, and amazon won't pay, you will need to file a lawsuit. Small claims, subject to monetary limits, is a good option. Sorry, but your time is not compensable. Good luck.

    Jeffrey’s Answer

You certainly have the right to ask for everything you feel you are entitled to. Unfortunately for you, that is not reality. What is reality is that with limited exceptions you will net less proceeding on your own as opposed to retaining qualified CA counsel. Whether you are trying to avoid a legal fee or were give false information, there is a reason why we get paid for doing our job. Good luck.

    Jeffrey’s Answer

Very sorry for you now must endure yet again. RSD, or compartment syndrome, is extremely painful and debilitating. Many fine lawyers here on Avvo to choose from. You should look to retain the one you are most comfortable with and confident in. It really is very important that you not speak with Walmart or their representatives. It is also important to do this soomer rather than later, as their may be surveillance video to obtain.
