A long time friend of my late husband was senior partner at this firm until he retired and moved to Maine. We had maintained our retainer here for years and our wills were drawn up being simple and fair. We assigned our daughter and son equal beneficiary and executor status with trusts set up for our three grandchildren. When this lawyer took over, I was skeptical yet my husband insisted on staying the course. Regretfully, this lawyer managed to convince us to draw up new wills with our son as sole executor. He also convinced us to place our real estate holdings into life estates which had turned out to have caused more anguish than good. When my husband passed away, a clause in his will allowed this lawyer to advise our son to make several questionable decisions. The most notable was this issue of life estates for our holdings. My son has now exercised his authority in having me moved to assisted living and locking both myself and my daughter out of the home my husband and I owned for more than fifty years. When our grandson was involved in a terrible motorcycle accident, neither my daughter nor I could sell anything due to the life estate restrictions to raise funds for his costly care. The repercussion from dealing with this lawyer has resulted with my children not speaking to each other and the inability to help pay for the care my grandson's out of pocket medical needs. I feel as if my family is now broken thanks to the selfish behavior of a greedy lawyer.
I would not recommend this lawyer to anyone for any reason.
