I was driving in one lane using my gps for location assistance. I understood the gps direction but when I saw the highway sign it didn't seem to match the direction in the gps so I had a split second to decide whether to go left or right of a fork in the road. I then decided my direction which requir...ed me to cross the lane but the lane was the white section with lines painted across it. I looked to make sure there was enough distance between cars in order for me to safely pass as I usually do before crossing lanes. I saw there was enough space and safely crossed.
