Professional and helpful

I had two tickets while driving in NY state, one speeding and one move over ticket. While I work in MA, it would be a pain if I go to the courts and handle the tickets myself. Michael's service is so great that I don't need to do anything after submitting all the materials. The speeding ticket finall...y got changed to a parking ticket and the move over ticket was dismissed. It did cost more than average lawyers where you need to go to the court yourself, but it would be a great choice for busy people like me.

I fully appreciate this review, however I would like to point something out. The reviewer said that we costed more than "average" lawyers. This is not true. It's not true because there is no such thing as an "average" lawyer. When you hire a lawyer you always want to look for 2 things: (1) a lawyer that specializes in what you need, and (2) a lawyer that charges a healthy fee. This is because by specializing the lawyer's reputation resides in that practice area. Which in turn makes you their most important client. With a generalist or someone who just does traffic ticket defense as a side practice, you are their least important client. Everything else that lawyer does comes before you and your case. You never want to be your lawyer's least important client. You want a lawyer that charges a healthy fee because that tells you that the lawyer is willing to advocate for their worth. This means that the lawyer is willing to advocate for you in court. This also means that the lawyer is making really good money, which means that not only does the lawyer have a professional interest in your case, but he has a personal economic interest in your case. What I am saying holds true for any practice area. The difference between paying the right price and a cheap price for someone who really does not care about you or your case is negligible. In this case, as in all of our traffic ticket cases, our clients pay hundreds to save thousands. It's always worth it to hire the right lawyer at the right price.

Great Service & Results, Everything Exactly as Promised

Mr. Palumbo's office operates like a well-oiled machine, everyone from the receptionists to Attorney Ron Ritz to Mr. Palumbo were outstanding. 5 stars, 10 points! Highly recommended! I got a bogus cell phone ticket I didn't deserve but didn't want to take a chance on going in alone to represent my...self in court. I live in CT but drive on NY highways every day and as a self-employed professional would have an enormous problem if I ever had my NY license suspended so I wanted to get those points off my record. Mr. Palumbo's attorney Ron Ritz appeared for me and got my 5 point violation reduced to 2 points, and I have the option to take an online course to get them eliminated altogether. I was spared the time, aggravation and lost income of going into court at all. For under a grand all told it will be like it never happened, totally removed. Well worth their fee!

Thank You to Palumbo & Associates!

With their help, my daughter's speeding ticket was dismissed! My college student daughter, who holds a California Driver's License, got a very unfair ticket in Dutchess County -- the officer alleged that she was going 68 in a 55 mile zone. Which she was NOT! Because she holds a CA DL, she wouldn't ha...ve been able to do traffic school, so this ticket would've been a real and long term financial hardship. We also now know, thanks to Palumbo & Associates, that an officer can't just order you out of your car and search it for no reason without your consent. The officer threw her groceries out of the bags (it was late afternoon - she had been at work and then grocery shopping), tossed things out of the glove box, etc. and made her stand with her hands on the car. This was very traumatic for her and it was news to both of us that they can't just do this. Such a bad experience for her. We are so glad that Palumbo & Associates was there for us. And they made the process easy! They called us back right away, emailed us the paperwork that we needed to fill out and, other than waiting for the result, that was it! Money well spent and we are very grateful.

Never ever consent to a search of your vehicle. Even if you have "nothing to hide." Most cops are good and are trying to do their job, but some are bad and you don't get to pick which cops you deal with. Cops plant evidence all the time to give themselves overtime and stand out among their peers to get promotions and better assignments. You have a 4th amendment right to be free from warrantless, unreasonable searches and seizures. When a cop asks for consent to search a vehicle, simply say "I'm sorry officer, but I don't give consent to search." If a cop asks you to get out of your vehicle ask them if they are asking or ordering. Unless they order you out of the car don't get out. If they do order you out of the car roll the windows up, turn the car off, lock it, and put the key in your pocket. When you do that the police have to get a search warrant if they see anything suspicious in the vehicle because nothing in there is "reachable" or "grabbable."

CDL Tickets Dismissed

I run a small trucking company and was referred to Attorney Palumbo in New York. My driver had 3 tickets on his CDL and Attorney Palumbo and his team were able to get all 3 tickets dismissed even before the scheduled court date. I did not have to appear or even go to New York. I highly recommend Atto...rney Palumbo for any motor vehicle offenses in the New York area reguardless of where you live. I am for the Worcester MA area

Excellent Service from start to end

This is the first time I have had a lawyer that fought a moving violation ticket and won. A six points ticket to Zero points. I never saw Mr. Palumbo and didn't have to show up in court. I live in queens and this man gave me reason to believe that he can help and he delivered. Six to zero and that to...ok my stress away. I recommend this law firm to anyone that has experience a driving violation. God bless you and your law firm!!! Thank you Mr Palumbo.
