Jeffrey Alfano is an experienced attorney practicing law since 2004. Jeffrey is approachable, understanding, and available to his clients, but at the same time a strong advocate in the courtroom. Before opening his law office, Jeffrey practiced commercial litigation in New York and New Jersey at the respected international and regional law firms. No stranger to Staten Island courts, Jeffrey served a sitting Associate Appellate Division Justice in both the Supreme Court and the Appellate Division, Second Department for nearly seven years. And was a former executive board member of the Association of Law Secretaries to the Justices of the Supreme and Surrogates’ Courts in the City of New York.
Jeffrey actively participates in many professional groups actively committed to the improvement of law practice in New York and New Jersey. Jeffrey received presidential appointments to the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on the Civil Practice Law and Rules, as well as its Committee on Courts of Appellate Jurisdiction. In New Jersey, Jeffrey recently received a presidential appointment to the Business and Commercial Litigation Committee. Locally, Jeffrey is an active member of the Richmond County Bar Association where he was elected to two consecutive terms to serve on its Board of Directors.
Jeffrey, a lifelong Staten Islander, remains active in his hometown. In January 2013, Jeffrey received the New York State Bar Association’s President’s Pro Bono Service Award for the Thirteenth Judicial District for his work with the Richmond County Volunteer Lawyers Project in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.
