Best in the Business - Highly Recommend

Jeff Chabrowe is THE guy to go to for criminal defense in NY. He is experienced, extremely knowledgeable and reasonable. He was proactive, relentless, and an exceptional communicator. He took the time—often outside normal business hours—to respond immediately, ensuring I felt confident and informed a...t every step of the process. During an initial consultation, it can be difficult to decipher the truly exceptional attorneys from the rest, as many attorneys have good soft skills and can provide a convincing pitch during consultation. After speaking with four other attorneys, it became clear Jeff was different. He didn’t try to sell me on his expertise, but rather quickly alluded to his background which speaks for itself, and then immediately started strategizing and making phone calls before I even retained him. He is authentic, and the best money can buy. I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have worked with Jeff.

Follow up review

I was a former client of Jeff three years ago and I wrote a positive review of his services. I needed him again to garner some information for me regarding a prospective job and he once again came through. He is someone that I would highly recommend to represent me.

Can't be happier with his work

I was already two years in jail when I decided to change my lawyer. I was with a very expensive one, who had a big name, but was only after the money. As a European I didn't have much knowledge of the system here and he took advantage of it. My trust in lawyers was very law when I hired Jeffrey. He ...got me out of jail within months on bail, what is not easy for a foreigner without any ties to the US. Almost on monthly base he helped me improved my living conditions, so I could leave the apartment I was confined to for more hours, until he got me within one year out on a curfew. I had a very big fraud case and thought I would be looking at more time. We went through the PSI together and Jeff navigated the interview completely in my favor. Nether the less we got a bad draft back, Jeffrey really put some effort in, so it recommended "time served". My sentencing memo was a stellar job. After that even the government decided not to go hard on me. The sentencing itself went completely smoothly; Jeff was well prepared and I always felt he had control over everything. He puts the client above himself. I never had the feeling I was just a paycheck. He was also there on personal level and helped me tremendously with everything. Of course, i got time served in the end. Jeff is a great professional and an amazing person to guide you through such a hard time. The only negative I can write in this review is, that I can only give him five stars here, when he deserves so much more.

Strongly Recommend

Jeff and his team did a great job with my case. I traveled to New York for vacation and unfortunately left with a felony charge. Knowing the severity of my charges and having to hire a private lawyer, I couldn’t shake the feeling of uncertainty in finding good representation online. After reading Jef...f’s reviews I felt more at ease and decided to give him a call. I was extremely impressed by the response time and felt confident I found the right lawyer after consultation. Jeff and his team were professional, thorough and supportive throughout the entirety of my case. He was able to get my felony charge decreased to a non-criminal offense. It was a horrible experience to be falsely accused. I was arrested for sexual assault due to someone's ridiculous accusation. The top charge is a felony. I am working for a top company in my industry and I am in the green card process. My life is almost ruined. I can't imagine the consequence if I l...ose this case. I am very glad that I picked Jeff as my criminal defense lawyer for this case. The first phone call with him made me feel that he is the right lawyer I should hire. He believed my statement about the case and gave me the confidence to beat this case. The next day I went to see him in person and signed the contract. His judgment and analysis of the case are top-notch. The case went exactly the way he told me. I didn't even have to go to the DA office with proffer. Jeff made the entire process easy and smooth. The case eventually got dismissed. I know that I am innocent. But hiring the right attorney is very important. I initially hired a terrible lawyer and that lawyer told me to write down a statement about my case. Then he will send it over to the prosecutor. That stupid action could give me a big issue later on. At that time, I didn't know too much about criminal defense. After I spoke with Jeff, I told this terrible attorney to stop working on this case immediately. Otherwise, I may be in jail right now since a bad lawyer didn't know what he was doing. Jeff saved my life and I cherish every day more than ever after my case is dismissed. Many thanks to Jeff, you are a friend of life! I highly recommend Jeff to people who are in a similar situation. Don't give it up, don't lose hope, and keep fighting! There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.
