Lento Law Firm was a god-sent to me and my daughters. For those of you who have been in custody battles, please read this review. I have been through 5 lawyers prior to finding the Lento Law Firm. It was about 10 pm on a Friday night and I decided to ask some questions. To my surprise, it was a LIVE person. They were very responsive and caring. They listened to my questions and suggested I give the office a call to set up an apt. So I did just that. I called right after I chatted around 10:15 pm and to my surprise, a person answered the phone! I was shocked. I was only expecting to leave a message and get a call back on Monday. NOPE. Instead, the woman was delightful and helpful. She took my information and said she would give it to Attorney Lento Immediately. Within 15min I received a TEXT from JOE and we set up a time to talk the very next day Saturday! I was beyond blown away. He was poise and professional. During our call the next day he and I set up a consultation. During this consultation, I met his partner Keith Altman. Both gentlemen understood my situation and were very confident they could help me. Without hesitation, I retained them, and my children and I are now FREE! During the trial both Keith and Joe were AWESOME. So professional and understanding. They were prepared and knew what they were doing. They included me and my children throughout the entire trial and always checked in and followed up. Never did I have to worry while working with this Law Firm. I have to say I never did research on Joe and his Partners prior to retaining them. Mr. Lento was tasked with helping me go through an informal resolution process as a result of a Title IX sexual assault accusation. During the process, it felt like Mr. Lento wasn't really trying, with all due respect. I felt like I was put on the back burner for other cases he had going on that need...ed to be taken care of. Additionally, he made an existing agreement worse for me by adding on counseling (that I will have to pay out of pocket) to an already unfavorable agreement on my part. I had faith in Mr. Lento up until that point and I feel as though he had let me down.

Because of Mr. Lento, I have a full future available to me. I've heard of college horror stories against innocent young men, but I never thought I would live one. If I didn't find Mr. Lento, I wouldn't have the future available to me that I have now. He and his team helped me through a struggle which... I wouldn't wish upon anyone. I cannot thank him enough. just now Aug 22 2020 I was driving 70 in a 65 which resulted in a traffic stop. I had a warrant for failure to report . Probation violation . Was taken Into custody at Atlantic County Justice facility. This was in the middle of COVID-19 lockdown which left me with One hour a day access to phone whic...h would be 2am one day then 6:30 am the next regardless of time which was always a random time I would get that hour. My girlfriend spent hours searching online for an attorney . At first I told her hold off it’s way too expensive for an attorney when I’m only here for a VOP ,no new crime. Yet with my court date being pushed back two months already did the Covid I gave her the OK and immediately Joseph went to work I thought the messages I was receiving from my girlfriend were inflated miss leading not really going to happen boss hope maybe and when I went to court my first time . It was obvious Joseph was new in front of Miss Johnson my judge hand a continuous was needed in order to hear my case of course this is not normally a big deal but when you’re in custody and it’s COVID-19 protocol and pomade to be honest I was regretful at first upset and I was considering hiring a new attorney . And in hindsight that was just killed by emotions and the feeling of being trapped from the outside world and a feeling of helplessness so by the time I got back from the courthouse to my pod I was able to call my girlfriend to find out what happened all those regrets and feelings I had just experienced hours ago well quickly washed away Joe spoke to my girlfriend and basically said he will not except the DAs offer and would get me my counter offer at my next court date which was 28 days away so when my court date came, I took the deal. Joe was completely in sync with the judge and the DAG this time . No surprises , he did exactly what he said he would do . I was happy and I only needed three more days until I got released that’s with All available jail credits work-time credits good time credits and full minimum custody credits. Worktime credits and good time credits are mandated by the state of New Jersey , full minimum custody Or a Atlantic County Justice facility credit earning credit that is mentioned in the Atlantic County Justice facility handbook. For reasons that don’t apply to the handling of my case and Joe’s behalf the jail decided not to give me the full Minimum custody credits which I earned and was eligible for via the Atlantic County Justice facility handbook. I could not get a straight answer from classification records for any officer in the facility and my girlfriend work with Joseph lentil and a few days later after I was told by everyone I was not going to get out until the beginning of February I got called out of work (kitchen pm cook)that the warden approve my immediate release. Now mind you Joseph had already completed his job , his job was over but he still fought for me. He contacted the sgt in Classification lieutenant and records and finally he wrote to the warden and within eight hours and 16 days before my February 6 date I was out . Of course I was already satisfied as he followed thru with everything he said he would do . So why did I wait 6 + weeks to write review. Well I wanted to not write it full of emotions as I wanted it to be objective as possible , which I believe I have just did. So I guess the reason I’m writing this is .. would I hire Joe again ?? ABSOLUTELY ! I would recommend him to anyone cause after he is retained he goes into his ROCKY mode , he will fight and fight for you and he he is straight up with u , that itself is a win-win right there . Ok now Joe if you’re reading this ,, thank you very much for not giving up and going the extra mile ! Sry bout next part but I should mention this. I am in Construction and my girlfriend is a hairdresser both of us have been out of work due to Covid-19, Joe surprised us both by taking my case on for less than he usually would charge .Tyvm!!!

My son was hit with a serious but false allegation of a Title IX infraction.
