Drowning in financial difficulties, I was overwhelmed with shame. I also felt shame in the prospect of filing for bankruptcy, so it was the last thing that I would have expected to do. However, my husband went ahead and scheduled an appointment with Barbie Lieber. The prospect of bankruptcy caused me... to be anxious. However, as soon as I met Barbie and heard her speaking about the whole process to file a chapter 13, I felt instant relief because she gave me confidence and made me feel that things would be all right. Despite my education and business experience, I went into this process with a high degree of fear and skepticism.
