Either they were missing this form or that form or the court did not get the forms in advance or they gave strange answers at the hearing when the person acting as a judge grilled them or were just unprepared to be in court. Sitting in front of a trustee and having to verbally defend your bankruptcy petition (that is being recorded while under oath) is VERY different from just printing out a form online and filling it out at home. This is the same reason why you would not walk into court for a civil or criminal matter without an attorney.
