First off I would like to just say thank you to Rachel and Linda! They both where so helpful in my case. Even though I couldn't get rid of everything but they worked so hard to make it the best case in a bad situation. I was looking at a second offense and Rachel and her staff was able to get me a pcr on my first and have my 2nd downgraded to a 1st tier 1st offense with the minimum sentence. Once again I highly recommend Mrs.kugel and her practice they go above and beyond for you. Thank you and hope I never have to use you again but thankful I did!

I was facing up to 2 years for 2nd tier dwi and leaving the scene. She got it knocked down to 3 mos without interlock.
She is very detailed and courteous.
I highly recommend her.

While maintaining a nice, helpful attitude, Rachel helped to reduce my DWI charge. I am very satisfied with her performance and I would definitely recommend her to others.

Before Rachel and I met, I had received my first DUI when I was only 18 years old. I hired an attorney, went to court, and started serving my sentence. I didn't know much about the process, or how it was going to truly affect my future endeavors. All I knew was that this was bad, and my life would soon be turned upside down. Here we are six years later and reluctantly I received a second DUI. It was one thing to come back from the first one, but to climb out of the hole I had found myself in with the consequences of a second DUI seemed impossible. I was put in contact with Rachel's firm through a family friend, and I can honestly say that I couldn't be more grateful to have put my fate in her hands. Through her research and extensive knowledge of the law, Rachel was able to identify that my first DUI wasn't filed as an underage. She further explained that if she was able to reopen the case, and get the judge to change the conviction to an underage, by law my second DUI would be viewed as a first offense. At the time, I was completely down in the dumps so despite some of my family members hopefulness, I remained optimistic. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. When all was said and done, Rachel persevered and inevitably proved me wrong. She went above and beyond her limits to do whatever she could and was able to accomplish something that most attorney's aren't even willing to entertain. To this day I am still in disbelief, and couldn't be happier with her representation. It is by far one of the hardest things one has to go through in life, but if there is anyone that could lessen the blow while obtaining the best possible outcome for her clients, it's Rachel.

Rachel Kugel and Linda were so great to work with during this rough time in my life. As soon as I was let go after being arrested for DWI I looked everywhere on the internet for lawyers that same night. I sent emails to a couple but got a response back the morning after by Linda. It was a great feeling working with a law firm that truly doesn't judge you and feels exactly what you're going thru. Rachel did whatever it took to get the best possible outcome for my case. She is understanding and very down to earth, you don't have to put up a front to speak with her. I'm very pleased with the way everything went down in the end. I hope to never get myself in this type of mess again, but if I do I will be calling Rachel again without a doubt. Thank you Rachel and Linda!

After consulting & meeting with over 10 attorneys I came across Attorney Kugel's reviews. I am not big on writing reviews but Attorney Kugel and her firm deserves the recognition for outstanding work and always guiding us in the right direction.
From the first phone call from her firm (Linda) was the first to calm me down and giving me the positive attitude I needed. Then shortly after I got a call from the Superwoman herself Attorney Kugel. She listened to all the details of my incident and commented on all to show me there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Linda from her firm was available all the time to answer the simplest questions for me.
Attorney Rachel Kugel was always on time for all of our court appearances, you can tell she is well respected by the judges and the staff and spoke out to the judge for the right reasons when on stand.
After the 2nd appearance I felt the judge had me locked and didn't want to let me go even with a plea. But Attorney Kugel told me not to give up and to kept my head up high. You can tell she and her firm knows what they are doing.
Attorney Kugel fought my case hard and didn't give up. We had early morning appearances in frigid cold weather and she always came in ready to fight with a smile.
Attorney Kugel got my case DISMISSED AND SEALED!! Exactly what I wanted from the first phone call I had with her! I would recommend her and her firm to anyone needed any legal representation in criminal, dui & dwi cases.

Rachel is a lawyer you can count on to fight hard for you. My case was a difficult one to say the least. I had a DUI, refusal and reckless driving. The standard penalty is 3 months for DUI and 7 months for refusal. My case was at the Hackensack court and the judge was showing no signs of letting me off the charges. Rachel got my reckless driving dismissed. She also saved me money by bypassing the trial and going straight to the appellate court. This gave me about 6 months more time to prepare myself for possibly losing my license. Last month Rachel fought hard for me in the appeal however the decision was not overturned. Overall I will have to be without my license for 5 ½ months which is much better than the 10 month alternative. Tough lesson learned for me but you can definitely count on Rachel to present an intelligent defense. Thank you Rachel for fighting for me.

After a 2-year court battle over a "right-turn on red" in Manhattan for which the NYPD attempted to criminalize via 2-charges related to DWI and Driving While Impaired, Attorney Rachel Kugel took my case to a jury-trial and won it - receiving a verdict of "not guilty" on both charges. This left me in tears because after a two year battle, I felt vindicated and finally a sense of relief. I had no criminal record at the time and continue to have no criminal record due to the thorough lawyering and diligence of Mrs. Kugel. Mrs. Kugel knows the law and she used every avenue she could to ensure that I received a not-guilty verdict. We were up against the testimony of 2 NYPD police officers and a jury of my peers found me not guilty of any wrong-doing. It is disheartening that a prosecutor wasted tax-payers dollars (including mine) and brought a case to trial such as this where clearly there was no evidence to suggest any wrongdoing. Although I have much respect for law enforcement because they protect us everyday, this case proves that they are not always right and we as citizens have a right to challenge them through the legal process. Mrs. Kugel possibly lost money on my case because she had to appear in court alongside me at least 10 times because this case had been drawn out for 2 years unfortunately. She charged me a flat rate and never asked for anything more. This experience has taught me to reflect on certain things relative to society. One of the more reflective moments was the fact that those who may be indigent and not have the means to hire an attorney to defend them have to settle for whatever punishment is passed down to them. It seems extremely unfair that someone's life could be ruined because the police made a judgment call that was proven to be unsubstantiated by a jury in a court of law. I was fortunate to have the means to secure a lawyer and thanks to God I was able to pick the best one..... Attorney Rachel Kugel. It is without a doubt that Attorney Kugel did a yeoman's job on my behalf and I highly recommend to anyone that, if you are in a jam related to a DUI or DWI, you better call Attorney Kugel!

I had gotten in to a car accident and had to get out of the vehicle because I was on the highway. When I had gotten arrested for leaving the scene of an accident DWI and refusing a breathalyzer test, I knew I needed help I looked on the Internet for the best lawyers for my case. Many lawyers popped up but Rachel Kugel showed up 5 times. I called 8 lawyers when I narrowed it down, Rachel was top 3 but when I spoke to her she made me feel like she was on my side, and that I had a chance to win with her on my side. I went with Rachel Kugel she was affordable for me even though price was not my concern winning my case was. I drive for a living so my licence is very important. Rachel came up with a game plan and a tough defence for me. After about 7 court appearances we had reach the date that brought my mind to rest. Rachel had gotten my case DISMISSED! I was extremely satisfied with the defence she had provided me and would recommend her to anyone who would ever need a lawyer. Having Rachel Kugel defend you is worth every penny.
