I'm a neurotic person so I researched 15-20 different lawyers in the NYC, Queens, and Brooklyn area. I spoke to a minimum of 10 different ones. I spent 2 weeks straight going through the first 100-200 search results for "NYC divorce". I familiarized myself with the rules, regulations, and process.... I'm extremely thankful that I choose to use the top rated NYC divorce lawyer. The one thing I learned is that 99% of divorce lawyers (except Yaniv) are scums. As soon as they heard my occupation and salary the legal fee jumped to 2-5x the amounts that are quoted on their websites. And they all want retainers. Yes, if you want a nasty fight with your spouse and to have your hard earned money go to lawyers... then do not choose Yaniv. Yaniv was completely different than the rest. I spoke to Yaniv directly myself. He was extremely responsive on emails. The cost was exactly as stated on the website. I paid extra for the expedited service and oh my god was it worth it. Within a few days more than 30 days, the judge signed off (I'm still waiting for official paperwork). In this world of painful divorce, PLEASE make it amicable with your spouse. Then once it is amicable, use Yaniv! They are going to eat the competition's lunch. I also had a unique situation that was easily resolved without any additional charges.
