I was unsure of the steps involved as both my ex-spouse and I were non-US aliens (Canadian citizens), we were both incommunicado, and I had relocated to New York after our separation but she had since moved back to India. We had si...gned a separation aggreement in Canada, which though legal in Canada was not completely compliant with New York regulation. Daniel Yaniv and his team made my experience pretty simple and pain-free. Mr. Yaniv was immediately available to discuss all the details with me on the phone when I first called their offices. Later on, the attorney who was assigned to my case, Abraham Weiss, answered further questions promptly, and ...was knowledgeable about the process and what we should expect. We chose the expedited service which took 5 weeks, not 4 as expected, but that was probably a delay in the court, beyond the law firm's control.
