Divorce attorney

Great attorney very well versed in her practice. Great team also. She kept in contact with me. Even though the case went on for a while she was patient and later everything out on the consultation

A Painful and Costly Experience

I am sharing my frustrating experience working with Randi Karmel, Esq. Throughout my case, I did not feel that I had a complete understanding of the strategic choices being made or the available alternatives before decisions were made. After the representation ended, I became aware of additional opti...ons that I personally would have wanted to discuss before deciding how to proceed. In my view, I would have benefited from clearer and more comprehensive communication about the available options, including their likely costs, expected timelines, and the potential consequences of each approach. Because I was not aware of options that I would have wanted to consider, I incurred significant legal fees and experienced delays that, from my perspective, might have been avoided with more complete communication and discussion. A particularly difficult part of my experience was that my matter was marked “final” during the course of the proceedings, which had a significant emotional and practical impact on me. Looking back, I wish I had received more guidance about the possible paths forward and the potential consequences of each decision. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing for me, both financially and emotionally. Based on my personal experience, I would not choose to work with Randi Karmel, Esq. again.

Very negative experience

I hired Randi as my divorce attorney. I do not recommend her. Randi urged me to agree to the very first settlement offer from my ex's attorney, an offer that would have stripped me of all my assets including my home. Randi made no effort to negotiate a better deal. I fired Randi and negotiated direct...ly with my ex myself (and got myself a very good settlement, thank you) but Randi still charged me for every dime of the retainer and more.

Never again

Maybe she is too busy and has too many cases, but my experience wasn't good. She never calls back. I left many messages on her mailbox, not 1 time she called back. She did not send me 1 piece of paper to my address. But the billing was correct, there she does not need tutoring.

This is entirely untrue. All calls or emails are answered usually the same day or within 24 hours. All documents are emailed and scanned to clients or mailed to them. My retainer agreement clearly states that clients are entitiled to all copies of documents. This review cannot be from a client of mine. It would be impossible for any one of my client's or former clients to ever have such an experience. As a matter of course, I always check in with clients.
