Julie Rendelman - A Passionate Lawyer We Are Lucky to Have

Julie is a godsend. I created a mess of a situation where not only did we have to deal with my serious criminal charges, but I am also a registered Wall Street representative (Series 7 with FINRA) and if things didn’t go well with the criminal courts then I would have had major problems with my care...er. As soon as I got released from jail, which was ~22 hours after getting arrested, I frantically began calling lawyers and several were very convincing, but none seemed to understand the importance of having this case dealt with quickly so I could avoid losing my job! After speaking to several lawyers, I finally picked an attorney who claimed to understand the unique nature of my situation. This happened on a Thursday. This attorney said he successfully represented myriad clients and helped them overcome serious criminal charges while navigating them through the complex FINRA aspects so they could keep their jobs. However, something just didn’t feel right with this guy. He didn’t sound genuine and I felt as if he were just telling me anything I wanted to hear, not what I needed to hear, so I slept on it and then called him again the following morning to ask some follow-up questions. I’m not sure what happened because it seemed as if this guy was half-awake (or maybe he was hungover), but in less than 15 hours this attorney changed a lot of things he told me the previous night and I immediately noticed the inconsistencies. I was now officially stressed and was losing hope. I went back to searching and decided I needed to find someone who was a perfect fit for my situation. So after several more hours of searching, I came across Julie and wound up viewing a YouTube clip of her making impassioned closing remarks during the prosecution of that sicko Levi Aron, who murdered an 8 year old boy named Leiby Kletzky, in such a horrible way that would even put ISIS executioners to shame -- may Leiby rest in peace! Watching Julie speak with such passion got me curious so I contacted her and explained my situation in detail. I was facing felony prison time, the destruction of my career and could also be banned from Wall Street for having a serious felony conviction on my record. However, I didn’t have to explain the gravity of the consequences. After explaining the story in detail and telling her about myself, she knew exactly what was keeping me up at night. I was finally impressed and convinced she could help me. Julie saw me for who I really am, treated me well and even played the role of occasional therapist when things got stressful. Even though that’s not why I hired her, her treatment helped me calm down and think level headed and clearly about how best to go about things. When my first court appearance came up and it was time to perform, Julie whipped out the big guns (think The Guns of Navarone) and the results she got for me were just short of a miracle. She used her skills, knowledge of the NYC court systems, former expertise as a prosecutor and all of her wherewithal to ultimately get my charges dropped. I didn’t even get indicted! I was having nightmares about prison time, the permanent loss of my career, a tarnished reputation and of course I was worried about how I would put food on the table after doing prison time and losing my career. I doubt I am the type who can just live like a reformed felon. The shame alone would have killed me. If you need serious representation then call Julie ASAP!

Best lawyer to hire

Julie Rendelman is very best attorney you can hire in NY. I found her online based on reviews and I'm so grateful to hire her as my attorney. She is very knowledgeable and caring. I was very worried about getting charged but she did her best work to get me out of trouble. I hope I won't need her for ...this type of assistance but definitely would like to recommend to anyone who needs lawyer!

Top Notch Attorney

I hired Julie after a delinquent tenant went to the police and falsely accused me of theft, presumably to prevent me from going back to my own property (to avoid paying rent). Julie was incredibly responsive and took two hours out of her day to listen to my convoluted (and quite frankly absurd) backs...tory with the lawless tenant. I was distraught and confused; she calmed me down and advised me on the most logical way to proceed. Once hired, she acted fast. She spoke with the police department that day and cleared up the situation. The case was never investigated further because of insufficient evidence. In the days, weeks, and even months following, Julie would check up on me to make sure that I was ok and that there were no new developments with the case. I highly recommend Julie to anyone looking for a criminal defense attorney. She cares deeply about her clients, and it shows through the quality of her work.

Top Notch Legal Representation

Julie did an excellent job taking care of my misdemeanor case. My first time dealing with criminal legal system/process, and she guided me through and explained in detail what the charge meant and what my options would be. Anyway, I was quite worried about my situation because being a foreign worker ...on a sponsorship visa could mean facing immigration if it came down to trial, and possibly getting deported (worst case scenario). Well, it did not come to that, thanks to Julie - case dismissed! I’m super happy with the outcome. Julie is very knowledgeable. Approachable and easy to speak with, and makes you feel comfortable about the situation and if you’re seeking a lawyer to represent your case - better call Julie! Oh, I thought the legal fees were very fair, much better compared to two other lawyers I saw prior to Julie. :) Highly recommend.

Best choice you'll ever make!

Whether your innocent or not, finding a lawyer can be one of the most difficult and stressful decisions you'll ever make.  I was scared and had never been arrested in my life.  I'm not a U.S. citizen and I work in Financial Services, one of the most heavily regulated industries there is.  I had a lot... on the line and couldn't afford any mistakes, I needed to hire an attorney who was really invested and truly committed to helping me get the best possible outcome!  A lot of lawyers will want to charge you a consultation fee before talking to you or listening to your case.  How can you trust or put your life in the hands of someone without talking to them first?!?!  Most lawyers are very short over the phone, many intimidate you or say things to make you feel even more vulnerable and desperate for their help.  After approximately 15 call to top rated Avvo attorneys, I narrowed my search down to two lawyers.  Julie was one of them.  Why did I choose Julie?  Because she was the ONLY lawyer who warned me about traveling outside of the U.S. with an open case, if you're not a U.S. citizen. Nobody else picked up on that detail when I told them what happened to me and that I needed to travel for work outside of the U.S. days after my arrest.  If I had not called her and gotten her top notch legal advice (even before retaining her) I would have lost my job, my licenses, and maybe would have faced serious immigration consequences.  Julie has other attorneys who work with her, specializing in other areas.  This is critical to ensure you receive sound advice and to protect you in all areas that might be affected by the outcome of your case (i.e. immigration, employment law). Julie was spot on with her advice and knowledge, she has a lot of experience working in all 5 boroughs.  She knows the courts, the system and a lot of the people who work there.  I watched her in court, and I watched how people interact and respond to her. She can be tough, yet charming and engaging.  These are all positive and important qualities you want when dealing with people.  She ALWAYS was available to speak to me, worst case scenario she would text me letting me know she would call me later that day.  Many attorneys don't even return your calls after you've retained them!  She had patience and understood how much anxiety and fear I was going thru.  Not only is she one of the best criminal attorneys you will meet, she also has a compassionate/human side to her which is very rare amongst attorneys.  I was charged with two misdemeanors, I got a desk appearance ticket.  The day of my court date, the DA offered me an ACD within 6 months if I stayed out of trouble during the six month period.  I couldn't afford to wait six months, I would have lost my job and there would have been other dyer consequences.  Thanks to Julie's experience and knowledge (she knows the law inside out), and her tenacity, my case was dismissed within days.  I was able to keep my job, I can travel and I can begin to recover from what has been a very traumatic and painful experience in my life.  Julie and I still keep in touch, I left her a message last week, she called me back, we spoke twice on the same day, while she was on vacation with her family! YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH JULIE RENDELMAN! LOOK NO FURTHER! IT DOESN'T GET BETTER THAN JULIE! Good luck! I wish you all the best, please know that whatever you are going thru, this to shall pass.
