I needed a really good lawyer to help me prepare for my Stokes Interview in NY, because my husband and I failed to "convince" the officers at the first green card interview. It maybe because I was so much younger than my husband or because, at the time of our interview, we did not have any joint financial documents. My husband and I had been together for 3 years and was only married maybe a year at the first interview. We generally didn't keep finances together as we were more relaxed when it came to those things.
Anyhow, we failed the first interview and we were in dire need of a good attorney who really knew what he was doing. I heard that the Stokes were really more difficult and that they would separate us for interrogation. i was also going to be applying for medical schools in only a few months after the interview and really needed to have my permanent residence status in place before applying.
I read reviews online and found Sean! Everyone raved about him. I called him and on our very first conversation, we spoke for over 20 mins, strategizing my case. I was really impressed with how helpful he was on that very first conversation and even more with how much he cared.
We met a few days following, at a Starbucks, and Sean went over all my documents from my first case. He pointed out things which could've affected my approval, which I didnt even think were a big deal. Sean is a very knowledge lawyer to say the least!
With his help I was able to put together all the right documents including: our financial statements, pictures from our relationship, joint renters insurance, joint phone bills, joint health insurance which I got through my job etc.
A few days before our interview, Sean met with my husband and me for a mock interview. The interview really prepared us for the case. Sean even met with us an hour before, on the day of the Stokes interview.
The actual interview was smooth. As we got in Sean presented the officer with over whelming evidence supporting the legitimacy of our marriage. He was polite, we looked prepared as if we meant business! So much so that the officer noted "Then why are you guys here, i will make this quick then". Sean even made brief clarifications on our behalf whenever the officer was unclear of somethings.
Needless to stay my temporary green card was approved! And, within less than 2 weeks , I got my green card in the mail!! I hear it is not usually sent out so quickly but perhaps I got mine because we explained to the officer that I needed it expedited for applying to medical schools.
Whew!! Long story but trust me this guy is worth it! Shachar Sean Malachovsy is the very best immigration attorney in NYC!
Thanks again Sean!
P.S I will certainly be working with him in 2 years when I have to go get my permanent card.

Shawn is absolutely an amazing Immingration lawyer. I reached out to many lawyers but none of them believed in my case. They all thought that I had no chance to win my case but Shawn was the only lawyer who had amazing confidence and knowledge about removing the conditions on my green card. He helped me through the entire process with great plan and strategy. He always replied back on time and he even calmed me down like a therapist when I get nervous about my case. I think if I didn't worked with Shawn, I would most probably be deported already. I recommend Shawn for all your Immingration problems.
