My wife recently received her two year conditional green card after she and I retained Irene's legal services starting in February of 2016. We both assumed that we would be able to navigate the complexities of filling out the necessary paper work and were quickly convinced otherwise. I contacted multiple lawyers around the city but I decided to hire Irene because she is affordable and was honest about how she felt about the chances of success of our case based on my initial description.
Irene was invaluable throughout every stage of the process. She sent us a list of everything we needed to gather. She filled out all of our forms herself so we never had any fears that we might be accidentally omitting an essential piece of information. While we were waiting for our USCIS interview appointment to come in the mail, my wife and I moved our permanent residence. If we did not have Irene, we would not have even gotten the interview notice because they sent it to our old address. Everything we worked for would have been ruined because we would not have known when to meet with the immigration officer. However, they also sent the interview notice to Irene so she was able to notify us of the date and time. Applying for a green card is a tedious, stressful, and time consuming process. I would not suggest that anyone should do it without the help of a lawyer.

My husband and I submitted a marriage-based green card application ourselves, but got an NOID for I-130 after we went through a bumpy interview. To say bumpy is an understatement, because at one point, the interview officer literally tossed my husband (the USC) out of the office and started bombarding me with all kinds of accusations.
The troubled interview was certainly in part due to lack of preparation, both in application material and interview skills; but we couldn't help wondering there was an unnecessary racial and language prejudice imposed on us. At the end of it, we were more furious at the mistreatment by the officer, who used a lot of threatening and coercive words, than worrying about possible decline of the case.
We started looking for an immigration attorney online, and came across a "Super Lawyer" from our Asian community. 10 minutes talk and $100 dollars poorer later, he dismissed us with a standard answer we could have googled in 10 seconds.
Then we found Irene. Before we met or paid her in person, we corresponded through emails, long long emails, and she took the time to read and reply each one of them. After we retained her, she quickly sent out instructions for us to collect evidence and affidavits. It was a very stressful period of time with tons of work and many people involved, but we nailed it in 20 days with Irene’s help.
Irene also proof-read my husband's 10-page affidavit word by word, correcting grammars and adjusting format and writing tones, to make it more professional and convincing.
And most importantly, she threw in an excellent legal argument in the rebuttal package, and we got our approval letter in a little after 6 months.
A quick side note, because we always got prompt reply from her in 10 minutes no matter the time was 7am or 9pm, I wondered and asked how she managed her time. She admitted that such assurance for clients ate into her personal time a lot! Ever since that, we tried not to contact her during non-office hours, because she helped so many families and we want to respect her own family time as well.
All in all, we highly recommend Irene to all families undergoing immigration matters. We only regret not having hired her in the beginning of the application process to avoid all the fiascos.
