Very satisfied

Mr. Vercammen and his staff were always on top of our case. Extremely thorough, and treated us as though our case was a priority. Incredibly excellent service and legal advice. Also, incredible follow up by Mr. Vercammen and his staff. - MH (4080)

Very Thorough, Explains Everything.

Mr. Vercammen prepared wills for my husband and I during the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown. He followed up with us regularly via email, answered all of our questions and was very thorough and detail oriented. I highly recommend Mr. Vercammen for any legal matter because he follows up promptly, keeps ...his clients "in the loop" as to the status of their legal issue and puts a great deal of thought and effort in the representation of his clients.

Responsive and informative

I was very pleased with how quickly Ken responded to my call and the breadth of his knowledge around wills and estate. Ken has a very organized and comprehensive process around wills, power of attorney and living wills. He was very efficient and professional. I highly recommend him.

Rude and condescending

A probate matter, resolved , calls to his office were not returned . Conference calls and court dates results that I should have been kept up to date on , I had to call ! Then I was billed for calls that I should never have had to make ! Absolutely out of line for an attorney handling an already di...fficult situation . Would never refer him to anyone !

Stay as far away from this guy as possible!

At first, Mr. Vercammen seemed like a real nice guy, like he cared about his client (me), but then charged $1,500 up front before he would do any work on my case. The first thing he told me to do was drive to Trenton to get my driver's abstract. It was 3:00 and the MVC closed at 4:00. The MVC was o...ver an hour away. I mentioned this to him and he told me to go anyway. I called the MVC from my car to ask what I needed to get my abstract and was told I could not just come in to get it. It had to be done through the mail. That should have sent up a red flag to me about Mr. Vercammen. Next, he told me to get my license restored BEFORE I paid my fines, which, according to the MVC, is impossible. When I called Mr. Vercammen's office to speak with his law clerk to tell him about this, since it was very difficult to reach my attorney, I was put on hold for 15 minutes and then told to call back. When I called back, and when I was explaining to the clerk that I could not get my license restored, I was told I was calling too much (it was my 3rd call out of the 5 Mr. Vercammen allowed me as part of the contract), he told me not to call anymore and hung up on me. I heard from Mr. Vercammen a couple of days later and when I told him what happened, I expected him to apologize and say he would speak with his clerk. Instead, he too said I was calling too much and not to call anymore. I reminded him that I paid him $1,500 and that this was not a pro bono (free) case. He went to court with me and did such a terrible job that the judge told him to "sit down and be quiet". When I tried to speak with the judge on my own behalf, Mr. Vercammen told me to be quiet and just sit down. As we were leaving, I told him about not being able to get my license restored without paying the fine, and his suggestion was to "get your butt down to Trenton, pay the $200 to restore the license or go to jail. Those are your options." Wow! If you want an incompetent jerk to represent you, then by all means go see Kenneth Vercammen. But if you want someone who cares about you and has a staff that will help you, stay as far away from Kenneth Vercammen as possible. I finally hired another lawyer - had to pay another $750 for him but he was outstanding. Mr. Vercammen, you should be ashamed of yourself for taking advantage of people when they are at their most vulnerable. I cannot get MY money back from him but I can do my best to make sure no one else gives him any of their money.
