About me

My focus is to help clients reach agreements and avoid the heartache, stress and financial burden of litigation through the court.  I will take the time to educate clients on the law, to explain the range of possible resolutions of issues and likely best and worst case scenarios, and work toward an amicable resolution of the issues based upon my client’s informed and rational decision. I work with clients to act in a rational, responsible, and reasonable manner. In my representation of clients, I strive toward striking a healthy balance between negotiation and strong advocacy.   When necessary and appropriate, I will use my knowledge, experience and advocacy skills in litigation. As a divorced father and having been practicing family law for over 20 years, I have gained an understandiing of  the emotional dynamics of divorce and all family law issues and the interplay between the emotional issues and the legal issues. My ability to communicate with my clients, empathize with them, listen to them and provide personal service has earned me the respect and admiration of my colleagues and the gratitude of former clients.

I also serve as a mediator for parties seeking to resolve their family law issues in a neutral setting thereby avoiding litigation through the court system. I am chosen often by colleagues and peers to serve as mediators in their cases and am regulary appointed by local judges as mediator or binding arbitrator.

I am an active member of my synagogue, Congregation M'kor Shalom in Cherry Hill, NJ. Currently I am serving as president. I teach 10th grade at the Religious School and have chaperoned teenagers on annual trips to Israel nine times, most recently in April 2013.  I previously performed in and directed local community theater productions.  My son is a Freshman at Drexel University in their film and video school.  Opher, my dog, is a chihuahua and Italian greyhound mix.   I love to travel, spend time at the beach, fish, read, listen to music and spend time with my family and friends.   I also love to watch sports and attend sporting events, and am an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Flyers, UM Terrapins, Villanova Wildcats and Georgia Bulldogs.
