Jane, thank you for all of your help in handling the estate of my late mother in law. Between the transfer of stocks, filing both estate and inheritance tax returns and your overall advice, you were terrific. Through all of my phone calls and emails you were always respectful and caring. A few times I even received your response at 11pm in the evening while you were burning the midnight oil. I don't know how we would have gotten through this without you.
I would highly recommend you to all of our family and friends or anyone in need of a knowledgeable caring attorney.
Thank you very much

After my wife suddenly became ill and we did not have a either Power of Attorney doc in place, we faced a quagmire of problems. Jane has been EXTREMELY helpful in helping us sort through this mess. In addition to her knowledge and professionalism, she has demonstrated a real sense of caring. I would highly recommend her to help you with Elder Law matters in NJ.

After the recent death of my wife, Mary, I sought legal assistance to obtain Medicaid approval for payment of her medical bills. Upon many recommendations, I obtained representation by the firm of Jerold Rathkoff. Fortunately, Jane Fern-Zimmer was assigned to handle my case. Jane immediately began the arduous task of handling the endless demands and denials of Medicaid. After many long months of effort by Jane, the Medicaid people finally approved my application. I feel very fortunate to have had Jane Fern-Zimmer working on my behalf. Thanks to her skill and efforts, she succeeded in getting the necessary approval.

Jane was instrumental in helping our family with the Medicaid process for my mother. She was knowledgeable of what paperwork we needed to gather for the process and kept us informed as the application was processed. She worked closely with our family, the case manager and supervisor of Medicaid to process the initial application, appeal and yearly renewal paperwork. Jane returned phone calls in a timely manner and was able to answer our questions or referred us to others within her office that specialized in that area. It was nice to be able to have someone to ask questions too during the stressful period of deciding on the right nursing home and the medicaid process to ensure our mother had the best care she could possibly receive during the aging process and Alzheimer's.
