Devoted exclusively to New Jersey divorce and family law matters -- Salvaggio Law Group LLC.
This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
An admonition means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The Bar gives the lawyer an admonition in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
David’s comment: “This minor sanction did not involve a Family Law case. In 1999--more than 17 years ago and before my Firm began devoting its practice exclusively to Divorce and Family Law--I unwisely agreed to handle a neighbor's real estate closing. The closing went well, but the neighbor filed a Grievance six (6) years later because my secretary had failed to send her a copy of the Closing Statement. I rectified the oversight as soon as I learned about it.”
This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
David’s comment: “This minor sanction also occurred more than 10 years ago and also did not involve a Family Law case. It arose out of a small collection matter which I had agreed to handle for a former client before I began devoting my Firm's practice exclusively to Divorce and Family Law. The client and I disagreed about the merits of filing the lawsuit. Unfortunately, I did not document that disagreement in writing. Although I had done some work, I refunded the client's Retainer in full.”

After a great deal of research to find the best New Jersey divorce lawyer for my situation, there was no doubt in my mind that Mr. David Salvaggio and his law group would be the right choice for my complex divorce case, and I was right. I received the best legal advice and representation I could ever have wished for. The divorce proceeded without incident, and I received everything I wanted in the settlement including the custody arrangement, which I was not willing to budge on.
I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Salvaggio. I told him during our first conversation that I wanted an attorney that would care as much about my case as if he were my father in that courtroom. I know it sounds funny, but I got that. I cannot thank him and his law group enough for working so hard for me and my child. We can now start over with peace of mind.

The Salvaggio Law Group provided me with excellent advice and representation when my former wife initiated an inappropriate process in the Morris County Court. The research conducted by the firm and the level of preparation that went into my defense in this complex situation, involving three different jurisdictions, was outstanding. The case was dismissed.
Throughout the very stressful process, I found David and the members of his firm to be very empathic and reassuring.
I would recommend the Salvaggio Law Group to anyone seeking family law counsel in Morris County.
