I used Stephen for a rather complicated estate case and found him to be far above the norm - and I consulted with others. He had ideas that were "out of the box" - though I think his mind is not working int he same boxes as others that I found to be "run of the mill". I highly recommend him for matters that - to the client - seem monumentally complex. He turns it into matters that are easily solved through a thorough knowledge of how the system works. This comes from someone who does whatever I can to avoid lawyers! If you need one, you can absolutely depend upon Stephen.

I was a client of Steve Oppenheims and do not recommend him for Estate work. He is difficult to communicate with as he does not use email. As a consequence, getting a quick answer to a routine question requires an often lengthy and expensive phone call or meeting. He is overly verbose often complicating matters unnecessarily. And again, adding to his billable hours. I would not work with him again.
